Epiphone SG G400 pro special edition

I own many guitars. I do own a Gibson SG standard. I paid a lot more for it. Everything about this is a tremendous value. Mine did not have any real flaws. Pickups are good, not great. The tonal options make up for this tho. This should be, and could be, sold for $399 or more.

    Happiness is a warm SG

Huge thanks to Sweetwater and Jon Krempel for the sweet hook-up on this beauty. A thorough 55 point inspection and set-up, brought this guitar to my door with only a minor string tune-up necessary. Expert packing and care made me smile like the Cheshire Cat when I unwrapped it.

Everything about this guitar screams "tight as a drum". Couldn't get the tubes on my amps warmed up fast enough to go for my first rip on the SG Pro.

Words can't convey how beautiful it actually is. SG soul to the core!!! It's light weight is betrayed by it's heavy roar. What a diamond!!! I love going between my 2 Blackstar and vintage Ampeg rigs with it.

You're not going to find a better player at this price. Side by side with a Gibson SG Standard, this Epiphone SG holds its own and then some.

My much more expensive Gibson LP Studio Deluxe just got demoted to the number 2 slot in my Guitar chain, and that is not an exaggeration.

Play-ability is ridiculous. 22 frets are perfect for me. Grover tuners keep tune through some pretty aggressive strumming and string bends and the coil tapping makes me question how this mahogany body guitar out of the Epiphone Custom shop retails for such a steal. Alnico pick-ups explode with life and I am getting no hum, or hiss to speak of. No fret buzz as well. Pretty much all of the stuff I hear Epiphone getting knocked around for in reviews is non-existent in this guitar.

I'm so stoked with this beautiful guitar, and it's by far the least amount of money I have ever spent on an axe. Thank You Jon Krempel and Sweetwater once again for being the conduit to my happiness!!!

I bought the Ltd. Ed. "TV Silver" 1966 G-400 PRO. I'm a fan of Ernie Ball Super Slinky strings so I installed a set. I also lowered the bridge a tad. The neck specs and set-up now match my Gibson ES-335. The playability and neck feel on the G-400 are great, equal to my 335 but at a fraction of the cost. The fit and finish on the G-400 are top-notch. Super looks, great neck action and a bargain-basement price. If you're after that 60's look in a guitar, you'll not find a better deal!

    I love it!

It's a great guitar for it's price. I am not seeing any problem with it as of now other than the input nut keeps on unscrewing.

    Good guitar for the money

For the money you are paying, I payed for mine $300 is a good guitar. it sustains notes good, the alnico five pickups give you nice tones. the head is a little wide, and heavier than a Gigson SG.
it is playable, sounds good, action is decent. Again is a good practice guitar for the money.
