Takamine's TP4T preamp systemThe EG544CK sports Takamine's TP4T preamp, which instantly gives you rich, clear-sounding amplified output. A feature of G-Series guitars, the TP4T includes a gain knob; a tuner; an active shelving EQ with bass, middle, and treble sliders; and a low-battery indicator. The preamp is switched on by plugging a standard instrument cable into the endpin/strap-pin jack. Unplugging the cable turns the preamp off. The TP4T is powered by a single 9-volt battery.
