Premium effects onboard
The Soundcraft EFX mixer uses the same AudioDNA processor featured in many of the Digitech and Lexicon outboard equipment including the highly respected Lexicon MX400 processor. With over 35 years experience, the Lexicon name is synonymous with the best reverb and processing in the business, ensuring the finest quality effects not usually found in a console at this price level. The effects section fits neatly into the mixers compact framework which is available in 8 or 12 mono input variants, both with 2 stereo channels and an effects send on each channel. There are 32 effects to choose from with a tap tempo function, 3 effects parameter controls and a user effects setting store facility. An effects channel level clip LED and Mute function gives the user even more flexibility.

Easy to use
The emphasis with the Soundcraft EFX is very firmly on quality build and audio performance, with an easy to understand control surface in line with the Soundcraft professional range. The Soundcraft EFX uses the highly-transparent GB30 Mic amp (designed by Graham Blyth for the company's 30th anniversary, and also used on the larger LX7ii and GB Series professional consoles).

Great components

Outstanding Value vs Capability

When I was playing gigs in the mid to late 70s, we used a 32 channel Soundcraft (had a 16 band equalizer on it too). Now that I am old, and our church needed a system, I turned to Soundcraft. The Lexicon effects processor is stunning, and makes for a great room ambiance simulator. You can synthesize a hall of almost any size. The overall layout makes the mixer very intuitive to use. The mid-EQ swept cut-off helped with modeling women's vocals over the Shure SM58 mics. A very versatile and effective piece of gear. Have only explored half it's capabilities. Am very pleased with the results of our first Christmas special..

So far so good

The only issue we have had was dialing in the sound. At our first practice it was very high pitched, but apparently it is just that much different than our old mixer and after some work with the EQ we got it right. Have gigged once with it and all is good.

A nice compact desk

This is a really nice mixer, well thought out and laid out, and will service my needs very well. A few about an aux 1 mute switch, right under the master send knob? Since I'm using aux 1 to send to an outboard EFX unit, this would conveniently mute the send (or maybe better, the return) when I need it to. Also, a socket for a lamp would be a nice touch. AND...always good to have an extra convenience outlet to plug into! But overall, I really like this unit!

Sound craft epm12

I perchased this on Monday and got it from sweet water on Wednesday I expected just a mixer but what I got was something totally different.I got a mixer that was unreal from the moment I turned this baby on it sounded fantastic. I got a mixer that is well worth 3times the price.there was no pops no bad sounds every knob on Gus mixer gave me a whole sound was very clean. I did not expect this from such a inexpensive mixer I not only give this mixer a 10 star review . I would tell anyone that needs a mixer and dose not want to spend a lot of money this is with out the way to go . And with sweet water 2 year warranty you can not go wrong. This mixer sounds better then my mixer that cost me over 1000.00 I would tell everyone that the sound raft emp12 is a mixer to be recognized as a mixer of nothing but very good quality. I did not expect what I got and I got a fantastic mixer for $ you can not go wrong
