Another great Sweetwater purchase!

When I decided I wanted cross over from guitar and learn to play the banjo, I of course turned to Sweetwater. I actually ordered the store demo of the MB-200 and it looks like it is brand new. I only needed to put the bridge in place and give a quick tuning and, within a few minutes of unboxing, I was playing. I combed the internet and watched a bunch of "how to set up your banjo" videos, and I really didn't need any of that information because the banjo already was set up perfectly. So what's it sound like? Well, it sounds like a banjo. I love the banjo sound and want to learn to play. I has a nice, crisp sound and the resonator gives it amazing projection. In the hand, it is very comfortable with easy access to all the strings for both hands. But it also has the room to allow me to be initially imprecise as I learn to play clawhammer style. Overall, I'm having a ball with it!
Music background: Lots of guitar, some keyboard, and just getting started in the banjo

Epiphone MB-200 Banjo

As a pleased owner of the Epiphone EL-00, I am increasingly amazed at Epiphone craftsmanship. My grandson was gifted with this banjo for Christmas and has put it down only to eat and sleep. A beautiful instrument, and Sweetwater's service was great.
Music background: Amateur musician for 50 years.

A New Sweetwater Fan!

Sweetwater was AMAZING. This was the first time I ordered from them, and I really was incredibly impressed with their customer service. I feel like I know John, my personal customer service rep, now! They called to confirm the order, they called back once it'd been shipped to make sure I received it in good condition, and they even remembered that I was getting it as a birthday gift and wanted to know how my boyfriend liked his new banjo! Everything was great - the customer service, the price (better than the zillions of other websites I searched for this particular banjo on), and the shipping was fast. The banjo itself is great - my boyfriend LOVED it! It has an amazing tone and is really beautiful.
