    Definitely worth it!

Bought as my first acoustic-electric guitar. Looks sexy, sound with quality. One thing to note is that action is slightly higher which means you have to put more strength in your fingers. Cherry Sunburst is really the color to go.

    Memory Maker

I own this guitar. The first guitar I ever owned was a Epiphone Texan except it was plain without the pearl inlays. This brought back memories and I had to have it! It plays good, looks good, sounds good and stays in tune! You cannot go wrong with this guitar!

    Well Pleased

I am really impressed by this Texan. It plays, sounds and feels great. I've been a fan of Epiphone electric guitars ever since I first played an Epiphone Casino. After a ten year "retirement" from music I started playing with my church's praise and worship band. I own and have enjoyed my Martin HD-28 for many years now, but it is about as much fun as pushing a piece of rope down the street to EQ it for live performances. I needed an acoustic electric for live performances that wouldn't break the bank and this Texan caught my eye. I knew that I would be playing rhythm primarily so I wanted balanced tone and this mahogany Texan delivers. The electronics sound surprisingly good through our sound board. It also has a pleasant sound unplugged. There are a lot of great reviews of this guitar on YouTube and I would suggest you watch them to get a better idea of how these Texans sound.

Honestly, I was skeptical that a $400 guitar would sound and feel great but after reading a lot of reviews and watching reviews online I decided to take a chance on this guitar. I knew that with Sweetwater I could exchange it for credit towards another guitar if I didn't like the sound so there was little risk involved. My gamble paid off and I look forward to playing this beauty for many years to come. If you are looking for a quality made acoustic electric guitar I highly recommend this Epiphone "Inspired by 1964 Texan". You may also want to look at the Epiphone AJ45-ME.

    Get one now....

I just cannot believe how good this thing is. I own lots of high end guitars. This can hold its own right beside the best of them. Cheap price doesn't mean crappy quality. For $399 you just cannot beat the value.
It's as good as my j45 standard. I will be getting another for sure. They are really worth checking out. Don't let that scary "made in Indonesia" label frighten you into spending more money.

    Great Guitar !

I played a Gibson in 1964 and this is very much like it. Epiphone has really done a good job on this one. I own several Epiphones and this is the best. I would recommend the 1964 Texan to everyone who loves the mid 60's acoustics.
