This guy is an instant favorite

I have owned a few starter guitars, but have only shelled out for one other guitar above the starter level. As someone that loves fast and heavy music as well as 6 string guitars, this guy satisfied all my wants and needs. Satin is my favorite finish, black and white trim is my favorite color, and the body shape is a dream. It is simply the perfect guitar and I have never been so excited to jam on a guitar.

On top of that, the EMG pickups roar per usual, and have a very aggressive tone. With the added natrually lower register of the guitar, you can get some really heavy sounding stuff. I mainly do recording, but I can't see how this wouldn't be perfect for a live gig. I honestly can't believe how guitars like these aren't more popular.

I was nervous about the learning curve of the longer neck, but I can tell you I didn't notice a difference until returning back to my regular guitar, which actually started to look and feel too small ;)

Service was amazing per usual. Sweetwater understands how important that can/should be for their prospective customer.

    THANK YOU for this guitar.

    Love It

I love this guitar. The matte black finish is great, first guitar i've had with the EMG pickups. I don't really only have any complaints besides the super thin strings that ESP puts on this type of guitar. It's a baritone 27" scale and it has .46-.10 set of strings on it. Most other baritones seem to have .68 or so heavy string. Can't drop below A without it sounding terrible. Other then that everything about it is great. 27" scale isn't as hard to get used to as i thought coming from an older Schecter C1 + 24.25 or so scale. I've been learning some In Flames songs in their A#/Bb tuning and right out of the box this guitar is perfect for it.

Sets the Bar on the Baritone...

This is my first baritone and second esp ltd guitar. I needed a guitar that will hold the C standard and Drop Bb tunings and this certainly filled the spot. Love this guitar! I thought I wasn't a single cutaway body type nor anything but an ibanez guy but this guitar proved wrong, it fits me perfectly. It has become my main axe along with my Esp ltd Ex 360fm. I

I really like the neck and finish! Satin finish is my favorite type. The action is low and tone is pretty good. Balance is set well, even tho the neck is longer. And I thought it would take a while to get used to that but the only time I notice the difference is when I'm sitting down and playing the 1st fret( feels far away), and when playing the 24th fret( but this is a plus cuz now my fingers can actually hit the fret).

The reason I only gave it 4.5 was because I am not a big EMG fan, esp doesn't really give many options for pickups.. Nor colors, but that's just nit picking. Otherwise this guitar will stay in my lineup for a long time.

And sweet waters service is always amazing! Set that beauty up really well and had it to me in no time. I always recommend sweet water to anyone I can! Thanks guys.

    Great chunky guitar

It's a great instrument. Tried it with a Triple Recto and sounded chunky and raw af, even on the vintage channel. Drop A is monstrous.

    Love this guitar, but...

I love my C-401B, but apparently the size of the tuning peg holes is rather small. I recently tried to put a .072 baritone string for my low A, and it doesn't come close to fitting in the tuning peg. I assume they just put tenor guitar tuners on these.

Otherwise the hardware is amazing, pickups are fire, and it looks superb.
