ESP's Eclipse body style blends classic looks with modern performance

Nothing screams hard rock like ESP's timeless Eclipse body style. The extra mass of this single-cutaway design gives the Eclipse EC-1000VB truly epic sustain, whereas its slightly arched top provides you with comfortable hand positioning no matter your picking style. Add to that a super-sharp cutaway, which gives you open access to the Eclipse EC-1000VB's upper frets, and you're totally ready to shred.

Get classic hard rock tones from this time-tested combo of Seymour Duncan pickups

ESP seriously loaded up the Eclipse EC-1000VB with a killer set of Seymour Duncan humbucking pickups. First there's the Eclipse EC-1000VB's neck pickup, a Seymour Duncan '59 model that gives you creamy PAF tone with slightly scooped mids and more than enough attitude for hard rock. It's the perfect laid-back complement to the Duncan JB model pickup at the Eclipse EC-1000VB's bridge, whose much hotter output lets you slam on the throttle for extra crunchy riffage.

I love this guitar...

I really, really do. I love everything about this guitar. The tone, the feel, the weight, the hardware. I remember when I was trying to decide between this or the EMG version, I was a bit torn. I am very happy I went with the Duncan version. Although I do now have a EC-1000 with EMG's in it, I love the versatility of the Duncans. Every guitar player should have a JB in at least one of their guitars. It sounds incredible through any amp. From metal to rock you can get so many different sounds from it. The 59 is so warm and sounds great on cleans. I did some adjustments for my personal preferences (high action), and for months I played on 10-46 (wound third). Recently I changed to 11-49 wound third and I think I've finally found the perfect match for an already perfect instrument. Honestly, if you're thinking about this one, get it. Also, I've been meaning to review Sweetwater in general for a while. Best customer service ever. Will is always making sure my orders go smoothly and makes sure I've been taken care of.

great guitar at a reasonable price

Ordered a demo model from Sweetwater and it was exactly as shown in the photos. After a couple months of playing and getting use to this guitar you just can't beat the quality for this price which was $100 dollars less due to being a demo. I have a 84 Gibson Explorer and I find myself playing the LTD more than Explorer. I've owned my Explorer since 84 and played in many bands over the years so to find myself playing this guitar the most speaks volumes to me. Love the jumbo frets as you can play with a lighter touch. Sweetwater is the best and will always be my first choice for equipment. Guitar arrived on time and was set up perfectly, just needed a quick tuning as it was slightly out, then was ready to play. Don't be afraid of buying a demo, I would do it again. Save yourself a little extra cash.

Worth every penny!!

I knew ESP/LTD were great guitars to begin with, but I was totally blown away by this EC-1000!!! If you're thinking about getting this guitar, quit thinking and JUST BUY IT!! I play a little bit of everything, so I was more attracted to having the Duncan's instead of the EMG's, and they do not disappoint! Looks great, and sounds great. You simply can NOT go wrong with this guitar.

Simply Beautiful

I just received this guitar and put it to the test last night for two hours and must say I am in awe!!! When I unboxed it, the guitar was totally unblemished and in tune. I plugged it into my amp (a Vox VT50) and let it rip, The sound and tone that came from this guitar was amazing!!! Next, i plugged the guitar into my effects processor (a Digitech Rp500) and again I was blown away by the tones that came from this guitar. The guitar has great crunch and sustain for hard rocking songs, and wonderful tone when cleaned up and playing "acoustically". The best part is that after putting it through 2 hours of fast picking, string bending, and general guitar mayhem, the guitar was still in tune. I simply love this thing and recommend it to anyone. Thanks Sweetwater for the fast and free shipping, and for having the guitar ready to play out of the box!
