Not as fast as I would like but still stellar interface
I purchased this item since I wanted lower latency when playing virtual instruments, especially East West Hollywood Orchestra, VSL SE and Embertone. Usually PCI E is considered to be the fastest. I was using a Steinberg UR242 prior to this. After installation I was very disappointed. I could not get RTL under 10msecs without crack and pops. The buffer had to be set to 256 samples and was barely maintaining. To get solid performance I had to push it to 512 samples with an RTL around 20msec. My Steinberg was way better with minimal popping at 64 samples. Before sending it back I moved it to a PCI express slot next to CPU and made sure performance was set to max on windows power settings. "Wah-Lah" it worked. Finally it can run at 128 samples just a little under 6msec RTL. Not a giant improvement over a UR242 at just under 10msec, but it does sound amazing. I can't give it 5 stars since it is so finicky and no cables. It is a thoroughbred one trick pony. Not a do-it-all USB interface, but if your an audiophile you probably won't return it.
