Impressive Full-range Sound for Your PA Rig

Pairing a 12" die-cast aluminum woofer with a 1" compression driver, QSC's E12 passive PA speaker offers excellent full-range sound for an amazing value. It pairs beautifully with the E series E18SW passive subwoofer, but its low-frequency performance, which can belt out bass down to 60Hz, makes the E12 a worthy front-of-house speaker for midsize setups too. Spec'd for 400W (RMS), you'll get plenty of volume from this 2-way speaker, and QSC's Directivity Matched Transition (DMT) design delivers an 85-degree coverage area for broad coverage with noticeable stereo separation. And thanks to its rugged, textured black paint finish and heavy-duty steel grille, the E12 is an excellent addition to your mobile sound rig.

Get more from your E series speakers with QSC gear

While E series speakers are compatible with most professional PA equipment you buy from Sweetwater, we've found that they really shine when you couple them with the right QSC gear. QSC's PLD and GXC series amplifiers include special DSP settings that optimize them for use with E series speakers. What's more, if you have a TouchMix live mixing board, then you can use virtually any power amp out there and still tune your system to get the most out of these affordable speakers.

QSC E12 Passive PA Speaker Features:
  • Rugged yet affordable 12" unpowered PA speaker
  • 2-way design includes 12" LF and 1" HF drivers
  • DMT waveguide ensures an 85-degree coverage angle
  • 55-degree side angle accommodates stage-monitor use
  • Tough plywood construction holds up to touring applications
  • An ideal match for your TouchMix or PLD/GXC amplifier
QSC's E12 passive PA speaker delivers reliable sound for an amazing low price!

Big Upgrade

I was looking to upgrade the weakest link in my like acoustic show rig; the speakers. After much research and lot of time spent listening to different products I landed on the E12. It replaced cabinets with 15's in them so I had a bit of a concern regarding low frequency response. No worries! They bring out frequencies that compliment the rest of my rig like the MEL9 and VoiceLive pedals. The clarity is everything I hoped I would gain. I am extremely happy with this product!
Music background: Rock,Pop & Country (longer than I care to think about)

My first pair of these were right off the line, and had a paint issue that both Sweetwater and Qsc quickly dealt with. The sound however blew me away, as I ran them outdoors for three bands at a brew festival. They were loud, punchy and could be clearly heard at the back of the festival which was nearly 300ft away. I've never been a fan of powered speakers so when these Unpowered models came out I jumped on them, already having a hefty power amp to push them. I had them cranked to near max, and it was crystal clear. Could have used some more low end with a subwoofer, (which I'll be adding soon)but they still brought the bass and all I heard was rave reviews from the audience about the sound. I have used them 20-30 times since, and I always have a few people come up to me and say "man that's clear"!!!! Still getting a little paint chipping off them from the car rides, but That's easily fixable. As always, great service from the sweetwater team.

QSC E 12

I would not recommend the QSC E 12 passive speaker for keyboards, the 12 inch speaker does not give enough bottom end, probably a good vocal monitor.
