Mobile-ready, Dual-purpose Passive PA Speaker

Whether you use it in your front-of-house rig or onstage as a monitor wedge, QSC's E10 is an affordable 2-way, 300-watt passive PA speaker you can rely on for quality sound and consistent performance. Part of that is the result of QSC's Directivity Matched Transition (DMT) design, which ensures an 85-degree coverage area. Propped on its side at 55 degrees, this 10" speaker is ideal for use as a monitor on tight stages. And thanks to its rugged plywood construction, tough black textured paint, and heavy-duty grille, the E10 is an excellent addition to any mobile PA system.

Get more from your E series speakers with QSC gear

While E series speakers are compatible with most professional PA equipment you buy from Sweetwater, we've found that they really shine when you couple them with the right QSC gear. QSC's PLD and GXC series amplifiers include special DSP settings that optimize them for use with E series speakers. What's more, if you have a TouchMix live mixing board, then you can use virtually any power amp out there and still tune your system to get the most out of these affordable speakers.

QSC E10 Passive PA Speaker Features:
  • Rugged yet affordable 10" unpowered PA speaker
  • 2-way design includes 10" LF and 1" HF drivers
  • DMT waveguide ensures an 85-degree coverage angle
  • 55-degree side angle accommodates stage-monitor use
  • Tough plywood construction holds up to touring applications
  • An ideal match for your TouchMix or PLD/GXC amplifier

First impressions are great

I normally don't write reviews right after receiving a new piece of sound gear. I'm more impressed with reviews made a year after purchase, i.e. how do you feel the equipment has held up, withstood the test of time, after the psychology of people refusing too admit that a new purchase was a poor choice has past. But I break this rule primarily because so far I've only seen one review thus far of the E10 and, after all, this is a new piece of gear released in 2016. I needed a new floor monitor after my seven year old Community 10 inch floor wedge broke for the second time. (This was a poor purchase.) The handles are not easy to use, made of plastic, break a lot, parts of the speaker are plastic and break if dropped. Plus the Community Sound is closer to Yamaha, Peavey and others, i.e. not the clearest effortless sound you really want from a floor monitor. This QSC E10 looks like it's built like a tank. Very solid, and I love its handle for carrying. Doesn't look cheap at all. But the best is the QSC sound. As the owner of a QSC rack mounted amp and a Mixwizard 4 mixing board and two QSC K-12 powered speakers, this unit, the E10, is right up there with the QSC sound, which I defined as a very clear, uncolored, effortless sound. In other words you don't hear a speaker, you hear the music or guitar and vocals, as if there is no speaker at all. I'll probably buy another one to replace my old Soundtech floor wedge.

Compare Yamaha Stage Pass passie vs QSC E10" passive speakers

I compared the passive Yamaha stage pass 10" speaker vs the QSC E passive 10" loudspeaker. First off I've always liked the sound of my Yamaha speakers...But I was curious about QSC so I decided to try them out...I set up my PA, and compared both speakers with exact settings and a song being played through a boombox and Mic'd....Everything was the same,,,,,Oh no it wasn't,,LOL...The QSC speakers blew the Yamaha's away, the Yamaha's were thin and tinny compared to the QSC's.....The QSC's are heavier, but are built like a tank and I'm sure can take the abuse of a working band, however they are still very manageable weight wise. The QSC's were much tighter sounding than the Yamaha stage pass speakers, the mid and bass were also more crisp and defined....I wish I had the QSC's at my gig last night instead of the Yamaha's...For the money the QSC is excellent, I love these speakers..........
