Duplicator

Very easy to use and effective.

Essential piece of gear!

By Ward from Maryland/Puerto Rico on January 11, 2024 Music Background: Solo acoustic warrior.

Just the tone circuit by itself is worth the price! Great usable reverbs as well! I'm a solo acoustic guy, this is my secret weapon! This pedal to one channel of a powered speaker, guitar to the other channel. No mixer needed! Don't really use the duplication much, but be aware that a tiny bit goes a long way. Same with correction.

This little unit is great.

By Dusty Kiser on January 8, 2024

I emailed Jake my sales engineer because I needed some vocal help. Singing lead with not much backing vocals it sounded thin. Since I knew absolutely nothing about any of the pedals, I relied on Jakes recommendations for the assist. As usual it was right on point. I played around with the settings and found a good mix of effects and wow what a difference. Turning the dials too high it starts to sound unnatural but if you keep everything in check it is a great tool for your vocals. Even the octave setting sounded good as long as it was in moderation. Once again Sweetwater comes through to help.

Everything you need in one pedal

By Carlo Balboni from Alameda, CA on December 12, 2023 Music Background: bass player and vocalist

I have always been a vocal purest using just a little reverb but my new project doesn't have any back up singers and I needed something to thicken the vocals. The reverb had three types and will cover any need. I love the three dials in one, this is a huge design advantage and I see it being used by many other pedals. It turns three dials into one and yet makes it simpler to use. The doubling is amazing. You can add just a little to thicken things up without sounding fake and same goes for the pitch correction. The tone button nicely enhances the vocals and the doubling effect can be stomped on or off. I am concerned how the sound guy at the bar is going to take it when I put this pedal in his vocal line but I can shut off the tone adjustments and reverb if he has a hissy fit.

Works very well

This unit did work quite nicely. However, you cannot rely on the batteries. When purchasing this unit, get a power supply with it as well.

Works as promised

By Sweetwater Customer on July 27, 2023

Really does help out with vocals. The trick is to keep the effects light. I found out if you want more treble in your voice use the tone. Take time to watch some TC Electronic tutorials on YouTube for making the most out of your pedal. It does mimic fuller doubled vocals.

Great pedal

By John Jordan from CO on July 10, 2023 Music Background: Worship Leader, guitarist, song writer.

Lots of improvements on this one. I have other TC Helicon pedals... This one has become a new favorite. A nice new feature is that the mic gain is adjusted automatically and you no longer have to fiddle with the gain. The effects are solid and will enhance your vocals to new levels. You won't be disappointed...

Cool pedal

A Simplicity That You Need

By Abhi Ananda from Los Angeles on September 9, 2022 Music Background: Singer-songwriter, Instrumentalist, Performer

Hey its my first review for my Sweetwater purchase. I bought this pedal because I need a vocal pedal that can give me an "extra spark" for my vocal in live performance. I browsed so many vocal pedals and, at the end, I chose this Duplicator pedal because it has every features that I need: Reverb (no 1 priority), Doubling, and Pitch Correction. I like the Hall Reverb a lot and the Doubling feature really enriches your vocal especially if you do some mellow pop/ballad tunes either with band or solo acoustic set. There is also an additional Tone button which kinda acts like a compressor.

The pedal is very well built and easy to use. When it's ON (stomp inactive), the Reverb is ON, but the Doubling is OFF. When you hit the stomp, both Reverb and Doubling is ON. When you hit the stomp for a while, the LED will blink and it indicates all the features are bypassed. This is really practical if you want to start your set with some talking (you can just bypass all the features). Then, when you start the song, you only activate the Reverb and finally use Doubling and Reverb when you hit the chorus.

This is by far the best investment in vocal effects I've made. Easy to set up and use right out of the box. I paired it with a new shure beta58a and it sounds awesome. My vocals have a lot more punch and clarity overall

I bought four such vocal boxes, this is the best since it does not need the guitar input. The output is
just what a singer needs for all the gigs. simple and reliable. no fancy stuff (which band gigs dont need
anyway) just pure vocal assist. I am happy to bought it. I will throw away the rest.

Love this pedal

By Terry Monroe from Portage WIsconsin on April 25, 2022 Music Background: Guitarist, vocalist, bass, song writer, recording!

This is a great little pedal for making your vocals nice and full with a touch of reverb as well. Not only duplicates but it also adds slight harmonies if you want them. Sweetwater will always come through for you. I've been buying from them for years now and won't go any place else for the bulk of my purchases.

It does what it’s supposed to do

By DaveP from Western MA on April 6, 2022 Music Background: Weekend warrior

I've been using this nice new toy for almost a month now and it does everything I need it to do. I use a subtle doubling effect as well as a subtle pitch correction (a little less than 50%/knob at 11 o'clock) and that's it. So far I've been well pleased and I had it in my hands just 48 hours from when I placed the order. I haven't really explored its potential yet.

Love This Pedal

By JB from Amherst OH on August 31, 2021 Music Background: 45 years playing electric and acoustic guitar and 5 years playing mandolin.

So I had been using the TC Helicon Mic Mechanic for a few years and am still really happy with it. I decided to try the Duplicator thinking I would use it just for harmonies. It has now replaced my Mic Mechanic as my go to mic preamp pedal for all vocals. I love this pedal! It makes the harmonies my bass player and I sing even better than before with the Mic Mechanic.

Once again, Sweetwater has knocked it out of the park. Wonderful customer service, support, and knowledge of product. Was told this product was back in stock, ordered it and was in my hands the very next day
If you're like me and in your mid 60's let's face it, your vocals are not as good as they were when you were in your 20's. So we need all the help we can get now and then. This product gives you that boost and confidence to sing like a rock star, or an old man playing the classic songs you know by heart. Thanks again Sweetwater.

Great Vocal Pedal

By Sweetwater Customer on July 15, 2021 Music Background: semi-professional musician, gigging regularly

I love this thing. It does a few things very well. This is my second one. I keep one at home for practice and recording, and one on my live gig pedalboard. It does the things I need as a solo performer. The doubling knob lets me give my vocal a thicker, fuller sound and the reverb is really lush with a wide range of possibilities. I don't use the pitch correction much but it works effectively.

Does exactly what you'd expect

By Dennis Stephen on June 14, 2021 Music Background: Professional - bio and more info at https://DennisCountry.com

The Duplicator is a multi-functional effect pedal that performs well in a live environment. I use it to add a doubling effect to my vocal, and set doubling to "tight." As a solo performer, this gives a little depth to my voice. I don't use the reverb parameter since I like to add reverb from my board. Correction is best for me at 12:00 as it is transparent at this setting, and provides minimal correction without making me sound like Britney Spears. There is a tone control button which seems to eq leaning on high treble and some compression - but in fairness I'm still experimenting with this. Otherwise, this is a good, solidly built product.

Great Thickener for Solo Acoustic

By Sweetwater Customer on April 30, 2021

I play as a solo artist, with a duo and with a full ensemble and this really thickens up the vocal sound and when you add the harmony singer 2 you can really have a fantastic vocal performance.

Excellent device for thickening up your vocals....n..if you're a little pitchy....gotta watch the reverb though..just make sure you reset your channel after plugging in....

Amazing

By David Bauer from Mount Clemens, MI on February 5, 2021

Great product the results are truly amazing. And thanks to my rep David W. at sweetwater providing me with the information I was wondering. To get me set up. Not only can I use this gear for live performance but I can record wet vocals directly into my daw with this gadget. It is amazing for any type of vocal. In rap and hip hop the eq and reverb and delay is crispy. And in rock and metal the grunge sound and screams are awesome. I'm not the best screamer when it comes to metal. But I have accomplished a couple songs or added some rock/metal element to my vocals on certain tracks. I was just messing around and it made me feel like my screams were something you would hear out of bands such as Lamb Of God or Devildriver. It was insane! Great product great price!

2 Weeks in and so far, so good

By Elliot Chung from California on December 23, 2019 Music Background: contemporary worship, singer-song writer

Primary use for church size 50-100. Got it mainly for the extra nudge with the the pitch correction and the adaptive tone button. I know other pedals in this line has those options but leaned toward this one because the duplicator might come in handy in our setting when we vocals seem thin. The pitch correction is fairly transparent between 10 to 12 'o clock. The adaptive have been just subtle enough to add a layer of texture without sounding over mixed. I used the duplicator when the band is built up big and it definitely helped thicken my voice without any distraction. Other than to toggle the duplicator I rarely touch the pedal during the set. Really just set it and forget it, and it's been great. Recommend it vocalists like me who can used that extra help without breaking the bank.

TC Duplicator

By Bruce Kerr from Southern Illinois on June 30, 2019 Music Background: experienced

I was on the fence with this or the Mic Mechanic and went with this. I felt that reverb would be fine, and that I preferred to have the doubling. I've found that it's very adjustable, with some great variations of reverb and doubling with the switch on. I haven't missed the delay at all. I do have to watch it a little with the volume and treble to avoid a high pitched squeal, but it's tweakable. It's simple and easy to use. and simply perfect for my solo act.

Simple and Delivers as Promised

By Sweetwater Customer on May 7, 2019

This works really well, it delivers exactly as promised. What I really like is that it has built in full time phantom power. I connected my Shure KSM9 and it works like a charm. Unfortunately they don't tell you that in the description. So don't be put off, whether you use a condenser or dynamic microphone it will work.

Great and simple

By Andres from Philadelphia on November 20, 2018 Music Background: Solo Artist

During my career, I used a LOT of voice pedals. Now, in a new path of my music career I'm looking to go all the way to a minimalist pedalboard and effects. So i give a try to this one, and actually blows my mind. It's simple, fits in my pedalboard, and the most important part is, the sound engineer don't have to deal with this annoying feed back that other pedals with the "gain" knob, have. It's very sturdy, and It can handle a lot of gigs.
The "duplicator" it's nice, and actually they though about quiet everything. The range between options are good, it's not amazing, but actually works for live. But the reverb is really cool; i love it. Especially the "club" option.
I can't tell you too much about the correction, because I have it in off.
The tone option it's a really nice option, in small places you'll not feel the change, but in bigger gigs, you'll feel the difference.
I really recommend this pedal for the price and between the other two pedals TCHelicon is promoting, this is the best one for live gigs.

I'm pretty new to these vocal pedals.

By Nick A. from Tennessee on July 12, 2023 Music Background: 45+ years in music. Currently in a working cover band.

Though I've been in the music biz since the 70's as a bass player that sings mostly back-up and a little lead, I've never used this type of pedal for vocals.. But when other members of my band picked up the Mic Mechanic pedal and has worked out well for them. I went with the Duplicator as the one song I sing lead on requires that double voiced sound and it does that really well. But it also does everything else that a Mic Mechanic does for my back-up vocal duties as it compresses and adds a nice sheen to enhance my voice it without making it sounds overly electronic. This pedal has quickly become a vital piece of equipment.

Confidence builder

By Scot from Texas on August 5, 2022

The Duplicator is a confidence builder for me. It has the perfect blend of reverb, duplication, and pitch correction. I have heard the TCH Mic Mechanic and it's settings made my voice sound less natural.

Duplicator works great

By Stefan Dasho from Oakland CA on October 27, 2017 Music Background: composer, jazz and swamp rock keyboardist

Does everything advertized quite well. The two doubling programs are very effective giving a range of vocal enhancemnt while sounding natural. Particularly good for thin voiced folks. The octave down is okay but shouldn't be overused. Playing a flute into it is pretty cool. Overblowing a flute drives the autotune into a mad frenzy---psychotropic.....
I leave the auto tune at 12 o'clock and it just subtly encourages my slightly flat singing on high notes to be spot on. THe lack of some additional tweakability for the "Tone" knocks it down from a 5 rating.
Of course you can't blame TC Helicon for parsing out the features available in the bargain range to separate pedals. E.,G. someone may want the delay effect of Mic Mechanic. I say pick your main use single pedal (doubling was mine) or opt for one of their spectacular swiss army knife pricer processors.

Works Good for the price.

By Randy Long from Elyria, OH on November 22, 2023

Works fine, but get the power supply or you will go broke buying batteries.

Fills up your vocals

By Joel Dusek from Aurora, CO on June 21, 2022 Music Background: Guitar and vocals for Brushfire cover band

I'm the sole singer in a three piece cover band, and this little gem fills out my vocals really nicely. The other guys do occasional harmonies so this makes the band sound bigger overall.
I was originally only looking for an EQ and compressor, and the built-in automatic Tone functions (along with de-essing) are exactly what I need, the duplication and pitch correction are the icing on the cake. Recommended if you're looking for filling out the vocal sound in any size band without fake or artificial sounding effects. Easy to use, plugs into same power supply chain as my guitar effects

What the Helicon!?

By Mark from Ohio on June 14, 2022 Music Background: Novice

Great effect absolutely worth the price. Really fattens up the vocals and makes them come through much clearer with a more powerful sound. Exactly what I needed.
Nice sounding reverb effects, and the autotune feature is very subtle.
Really hard to get a bad sound with it! The cons are it doesn't have +48v phantom power, only +24v?? (We use just dynamic mics anyways so it doesn't affect them. No 1/4 in or out. No ground lift. And the octave effect is fun but kind've useless. TC maybe could've added a delay/echo effect, with the built-in reverb. You also lose your 'tone' button settings every time the pedal is shut off. And a mute button would've been nice, but definitely not necessary. Overall it's an awesome effect pedal and hard to beat for the price. If you're a vocalist and only want one pedal, this would be it.

So crisp, so clean

By Jeff on May 26, 2022

The TC Helicon Duplicator is outstanding for small set ups. The clarity of the preamp, even with the effects off is very clear and crisp. When used in tandem with the reverb and doubler it gives a very polished sound. I will buy more of these little preamps and effects just to try um' out. Thanks Seetwater!

Good Sound

By Sweetwater Customer on May 13, 2022

At my age, I needed some help with pitch control and with the Duplicator I get it. having a little reverb helps too. I use the octave lower with certain songs. Nice effect. I's a good addition to my other T C Helicon devices.

Nice little pedal

By Dr. Texas Rüegg from Marshall, TX on December 16, 2021

Still learning about all this pedal can do, but out of the box I was very pleased. Simple controls and easy to dial in just the right amount. Just enough to boost my vocal confidence and polish the edges of my voice. Very happy with this pedal.

Give it Time…Nice Tool for the Soloist

By Just Dan from Manahawkin, NJ on September 14, 2021

Short story…great pedal to fill out vocals without the audience looking for you backup singers. Just give it time, out of the box it seemed a bit harsh but with some time and effort it's a very usable tool for a live soloist.

Longer story…My LD Maui lacks any effects or mic preamp so I was looking for something to use when I didn't want to carry my Boss Acoustic Singer Live which I DI out to the Maui. This pedal also works nicely with my Bose S1 pro (which has reverb). While a true harmony pedal is nice this one fills out vocals nicely without being over the top. Well built.

Great... For The Right Person.. But beware...

By Russ J. from Pasco, WA on February 13, 2020 Music Background: Profesional 30+ years experience

Had it for about 3 months on a recommendation to try out a vocal doubler. Just to start, this thing has pretty good functionality and I will keep it but probably not use it much. Maybe let some of my non-vocalist bandmates use it if they are feeling shy about vocals...

First thing to remember is the pitch correction stays on even after you depress the pedal -- only turns off by holding it down for two seconds. But the first thing I noticed is you lose some of your natural vocal dynamics running through this. I think the processing is trying to smooth out the tonality and you lose a little. Not a big deal for softer type vocals but the more powerful the obvious it becomes. And about the pitch correction -- it's like constantly riding a bike with training wheels. In the middle position the correction is hardly noticeable to the listener. All the way up there is a definite stepping. Using this your vocals might get lazy in that your not really hearing what you are really singing making your natural pitch less accurate. So when you turn it off after using it for a couple weeks and try to sing it's really like "Whoa! watch your key!" Like taking your roller skates off and putting your shoes back on.

So, it is what it is... Not too expensive... Give it whirl as it is very functional and easy to use... Pretty good effects... The doubling feels like a longish reverb slightly detuned -- not bad but what did I expect on this front...

Great!!

By Gary Vernon from FL on June 15, 2018 Music Background: Appalachian Death Trap

I used the TC Helicon voicetone Double (2010 model) for a while now and found that I only used a small amount of what it was made for. The Duplicator simplifies the doubler effect and has great features. 1) its smaller 2) it can be added to you power supply on your board. 3) The pitch correction and tone are great. It is very sturdy and easy to use. Love it!!! Thanks Sweetwater!!

TC Helicon" Duplicator"

By Robert Ness from Boston, MA on January 1, 2018 Music Background: Retired Radio Broadcaster

Excellent special effects product. Excellent heavy duty "all metal" housing; nothing "cheap" about it at all.

NOTE: Use caution using rechargeable batteries; they sometimes have a "mind of their own". They fooled me even after charging, they were not "fully charged". My error; certainly not the unit's fault. In my opinion, you're better off using brand named Alkaline batteries if you choose not to use the 110V power supply. Like with any device, remove all batteries when storing long term; all batteries can leak corroding the unit's interior, voiding the two year Sweetwater generous "no additional charge" warranty.

As simple as the product is, a diagram and brief description of the unit's controls is not included with the device. This would have added little cost for the TC Helicon manufacturer to do this. Though It can run by batteries, no mention of what to expect from average battery life in hours; though admittedly, that's hard to state due to usage.

Hats off to Sweetwater for excellent packaging. Sweetwater made it a strong point of wanting to know of any customer disappointment with anything surrounding this product. Great customer satisfaction way of doing things.

All this gives me high confidence in ordering anything from Sweetwater.

Soft Correction

By Joe from Kansas City, MO on July 26, 2017

I bought this pedal primarily for the "Soft" pitch correction. It works like a charm without producing any unnatural leaps in pitch. The simplicity of operation is a big plus and the doubling is very nice.

TC Helicon Duplicator emphasizes midrange when autotune engaged

By Russell House from Washington, IL on June 25, 2022 Music Background: 50 years in rock, country, bluegrass, praise/worship, now rock again!

I used The Duplicator for the reverb and autotune feature. The reverb is okay and while the autotune does work well, I found that it tended to shelve the highs and lows, making my voice noticeably mid-range. So the clarity I was hoping for was de-emphasized. About the time I decided to try to use it without engaging the autotune, I found and bought a Boss VE-2, which does NOT shelve frequencies when the autotune is engaged.
BUT, the Helicon pedal is about 1/2 the price of the VE-2, so it's a matter of get-what-you-pay-for.

It's Okay

By Chris Michels from Michigan on April 8, 2020 Music Background: 20 year professional performer and teacher

Unit compresses too much. Turns my SM58 into what feels like a condenser mic, picking up my guitar amp even at low volumes and sending it through the effect and the P.A. creating an unwanted chorus effect in the room. I could see live sound engineers being frustrated with someone using it live. It also picks up my voice from much greater distances from the mic (obviously compression does this but its unlike the compression on my mixer (analog yamaha)). I will most likely hang onto it, use it more for solo shows and less on loud stages.

It also sounds a little cheap.

A surprising use though - I recorded some backing vocals with it and was able to leave the recorded tracks dry, as they were already compressed/ reverbed(new word) also i didn't have to artificially double the vocal tracks

I will continue to record backing vocals or weird vocals with it

Not exactly what I expected

By Dona Dorrell from Dothan, AL on May 4, 2023 Music Background: Singer

I've had my Sweetwater Duplicator about a year now. When I took it out of the box, I was surprised with the heavy weight and great quality. I use the duplicator for singing Karaoke. I especially like the way it evens out my tone and enhances my voice, but the reverb will not work. I've watched your videos and tried every setting possible. How do I get a replacement or repair? It has a two year warranty.

OK Not OK

By Gearmode from WA on September 9, 2022 Music Background: A- club live performance experience dates back to 80's.

The group I'm working with have five of these. The intention was to use on monitors and pipe ot to FOH as well. The outcome to date is this is fine for monitors, a single speaker floor wedge, traditional. FOH, not so good. The stereo-oriented FOH doesn't seem to play well with the multiple FX built into the unit. Even with the double all the way down, reverb barely on, Tone on, and pitch set to 11 O'clock, it gives an odd electronic sound which as the sound guy I find unacceptable. There is like when the FX is too much, the high end sort of has a ring, the left/right produces an image which is overdone. And sadly there is no MIX knob on the Duplicator. But the rub is the group loves it in the monitors. So when I announce I plan to remove from the FOH, they are not excited as the feeling is the mild pitch correction makes their vocals better. Sound guys can't win is the answer. So this review is telling you this opinion, for smallish simplistic gigs, go for it. But if you are thinking to send to a FOH I say no.

Short battery life

By Gene Korte from AZ on April 15, 2019 Music Background: Gigging duo.

Bought so I could eliminate floor of spaghetti and wall wart. Used unit three times with three brands of batteries and only got one hour max. usage! It's a pain (and expensive) to have to change batteries three times on a three hour gig.

Adaptive tone

By Sweetwater Customer on March 25, 2024

Nothing on it sounded good. The adaptive tone was too much on the trebly high end and pretty much unusable. The reverb was ok and the duplicator sounded to synthesized and unnatural. It seems to be a well made unit and some people like it.

I think I was expecting more but the TONE button is OK

By David Apgar from Newmanstown, PA on March 7, 2024 Music Background: Intermediate level guitar and working to improve lead vocals

I've been working with the Duplicator for about 8 months now. I had reasonable expectations for it based on its price point. I'm mostly into 60s-70s Moody Blues, Pink Floyd, Traffic Cream that kind of sound (just for context) Unfortunately, I found it to be lacking what I was looking for. I have it after a Mic Mechanic(v-1) so maybe there's just a lot of the same thing going on, but I have tried countless ways to use its configurations both with and without the MMv-1.
The TONE button is definitely noticeable when you toggle it on and off. I currently have it set to the warmer mode option. I would rate that the best feature. I'd rate the TONE button itself a 6 out of 10.
A far as the duplication itself, I only really found the loose duplication useful, as long as it's set around 35-40% max. Beyond that, it just becomes un-natural and a bit to processed sounding. It doesn't really sound like loose duplication per say, more like a chorus...maybe. The Octave setting only gives you octave DOWN, not up, which I would've preferred. If you're aiming for processed Monk-chanting sound or something like that I guess you might like it. The tight duplication just sounds processed to me no matter what, so I never use it. But again, its important to remember what your going to get at this price point.
The reverb settings aren't bad long as its set again around 30-40% max. I'm not a great singer by any means but not a car wreck either. I have experimented with the Correction, set to about 10 o'clock, beyond that level and I just don't care for how it makes my voice sound, so I just keep it off. I'm guessing that's where the correction feature starts to take effect. I've tried it at 12 o'clock just to experiment but it just sounded odd to me. Overall, if you want a vocal effect at this price point it might do the trick for you. I've decided to sell it and look at some rack mounted options instead.

Was OK and then broke

By Brian Whittaker from SPANISH FORK, UT on March 27, 2023 Music Background: Played guitar in a classic rock cover band, I've played live Solo and with a buddy for about 8 years. I am a singer/songwriter and put an album out a few years ago.

I bought this pedal for the duplicator feature. The duplicator part was ok but could only use it at the lowest setting as any more was too much and sounded kind of fake. The reverb worked good. I only had it turned up about 25%. The octave part was useless as it just sounded fake and the lower part sounded too low.
The problem with this pedal was if it did get turned to the octave part, the electronics would malfunction and not go out of octave and back to only duplicator. I would have to turn the power off and restart it to get it back to normal.

I must say that Sweetwater is great with customer service. My sales Rep is a stud! I used to buy from the big 3 online music gear sites just for price but Sweetwater's customer service is so good that I got the credit card and buy only through Sweetwater as I get the 5% bonus cash on all purchases and having great support makes me less stressed.

Easy to use, good sound, bad circuit

By Adrian Cruz on March 2, 2023 Music Background: Amateur musician

An easy-to-use pedal for quick vocal performance improvement, with acceptable compression/EQ preset, basic reverb and voice doubling (and octave up/down extra option). However, after a couple of months of sporadic use, a constant electrical buzz appeared on the bottom of the sound signal. No firmware update solved the issue. Guess I got a defective unit, which does not speak good about quality control.

Noisy

By Stu from CA on June 14, 2022

So far, a little disappointed. Quote a bit of noise on this thing even though I'm powering with batteries instead of an ac power supply. I saw reviews that stated that this device was only good for live performances and not for recording , and I have to agree.

AVERAGE

By Sweetwater Customer on May 30, 2018

I ordered one of these units after I saw the video. I was looking for a doubling effect which I was going to use periodically throughout my show. When it arrived, it was already opened, not factory sealed, at any rate I tested it out, the pitch correction did not work, however the doubling effect and the reverb did. The doubling effect was average, the reverb was garbage. If you are a male vocalist and are a baritone, forget it, you will sound like your in a gymnasium. Why did it sound better on the video? Well they had a female vocalist singing through this thing so there was no way at her range it would affect the reverb below 80 cycles. If you are buying this thing for the doubling and reverb, spend 50.00 more and by a lexicon. Not only are the effects better, but it's in stereo. I don't know what the pitch correction sounded like on this because it did not function.

Didn't do it for me

By Rob Massard from Novi, MI on May 22, 2019 Music Background: Singer / Songwriter

I read the reviews prior to purchasing this pedal. I have to say it was a dissappointment. I ended up returning it. The doubling effect didn't seem much more than a reverb effect to me.

Not even close

By Sweetwater Customer on December 26, 2018

unlike everything else I've ordered from Sweetwater, this is pretty much worthless. the foot switch has never worked, but when I continually hold it down the effects is does produce are a bit WTF is that. ...any price is to much for junk.

Poor quality

By John Franklin from Los Angeles on August 17, 2023

Two problems. First, WHY no volume control?? Second, poor quality. I have now tried this with 3 different units. Each one has developed more snap, crackle & pop than a bowl of Rice Krispies. I quit, no more. This one lasted 3-4 months, but only being used 3-4 times per month. I have had quality control with TC Helicon before; but, this one is the worst.

Total Hype

By Sweetwater Customer on June 2, 2023 Music Background: 10 years performing.

This pedal does absolutely nothing. Bought it because our pastor had one, who has since dumped it. Feeds back80% of the time I plugged in. Maybe does something in a studio, who knows. I do know its not for live shows.

Two bad duplicators

By Ernest Smothers from Hollow Rock, Tn on September 4, 2021 Music Background: Former touring bassist-current weekend warrior

After ordering my first TC Helicon Duplicator and waiting a month for it to arrive, it died three days later. Sweetwater graciously sent me replacement which completely quit a week after delivery. I'm going to contact Sweetwater and return it. These products bear no reflection on Sweetwater. I love the company and have always been treated wonderfully by them. Of all the purchases I've made with Sweetwater, the Duplicators are the only duds that I've purchased. I will continue purchasing from this outstanding company. TC Helicon may need to ramp up quality control. Ernie Smothers-proud Sweetwater customer.
