Really Good Overdrive ,, and has a bass control knob so thats a big plus !!

    Authentic sounds.

I am not a pedal person and wanted to create a barely breaking OD tone that is fuller than overloading my Princeton Reverb. This pedal is perfect for that with the treble and bass controls. You can easily adjust the drive so the volume is seamless when enabled.

    The tones sound very organic.

    outstanding overdrive!

i can honestly say this is the BEST tubescreamer-style pedal i've ever tried (and i've gone through quite afew)- the 2-band EQ on this thing makes it super versatile, and i could easily use this as a single overdrive for a gig- lots of note clarity, but it still cuts through in the mix and using it to push another OD gets glorious tones and sustain for days.

The build quality isn't as high as some other pedals out there, but unless you regularly run over your equipment with a car this thing will hold up just fine. VS didn't skimp on any of the important details, and the end result is a pedal that can blow away some other "boutique" stuff that costs up to 4 times as much!

    Very good, worth the $$

Little by little I guess I m becoming a gear head. For years I used processors, and with the cost involved I didn't see the benefit of buying stomp boxes, but over the last few years I've been building my pedal board. This overdrive when used with the Chainsaw distortion has a lot of punch for the price. My last recording session, these where in my pedal chain along with the Jekyl and Hyde (also a great pedal) The Drivetrain was never turned off once it was on. I use mainly a MIM Tele and a Fender 2 x 12 Deville, also a Les Paul here n there, and this pedal cranks, as does everything from Visual Sound

    Excellent value for the price

Currently using this in conjunction with a Fulltone GT-500 and a Mesa Express + 5:25. Upside: does a nice job with cleaner channel-mode options on the amp (a nicer crunch sound than the Boost/OD side of the GT-500!), works well WITH the boost on the GT-500, and, used sparingly, enhances the sound of the higher-gain settings on the amp.
Downside: doesn't work well (at all) with the Distortion side of the GT-500 and even though I really like the nature of the overdrive, it lacks some fullness. But the boost on the GT-500 takes care of that completely. Lastly, (as stated in one of the other reviews) the build quality could be better (e.g., the DC input on mine has some play between the plastic housing and the body of the pedal). For the price however, don't think you can go wrong, especially when used with other pedals.
