AN EXPLANATION ON HOW TO GET THE RIGHT CABLES
Don't get too confused with the adapters and the regular DIGI LINK cables. Keep in mind that symphony i/o or a rosetta 800 with an X-HD card (or Lynx LT-HD card) would need a male MINI DIGI LINK adapter going to A FEMALE DIGI LINK. Then you would get a regular DIGI LINK which is male to male and you would connect one side to the adapter (remember on HD NATIVE cards the ports FEMALE so you want THE SMALL ONES MALE think of it this way - the guy is the smaller one the girl is the bigger one :) so you connect the small male to the hd native card or if you DSP inclined HDX, then you connect the FEMALE DIGI LINK to a regular MALE TO MALE DIGI LINK Cable which would go from the adapter to the X-HD, or LT-HD, or 192 I/O, or symphony i/o or Rosetta, etc. I hope this clarifies the situation. Believe me, I was so lost thinking about something so simple. Its these little things that can get to ya. hang in there. I sincerely hope I did not confuse anyone here. I had to go to my symphony i/o to double and triple check the cables and adapters. NEWS FLASH - HEY AVID DON'T SWITCH THE SIZE OF THE CABLES!!!!!!
