    WOW! A must have

OMG! I had no idea they had this! Getting it now, I haven't updated my performer since 4.0 because I have been using a MAC that is several years old.

Just bought a new MAC and upgraded to DIG P6. I have a hard time learning by reading, need to actually see it done. Getting this today

A must have for Digital Performer users!

Digital Performer is a great tool for Mac studio users, but that 1000+ page manual can be overwhelming. The best way to learn Digital Performer is by being able to actually see how it is used and have it explained to you in detail. This DVD-ROM does exactly that. It works with Quicktime so you can see it right on your Mac. You can pause it, jump into Digital Performer and try out things as you learn them. This includes 15 hours of video separated into chapters, so you can quickly go to areas that interest you most or for review. It also includes many extras. This DVD was put together by a company of professional Digital Performer consultants. This video is clear so you can see the details, no blurry text to try to make out what you are looking at like in some DVD training videos. This is a must have for Digital Performer users who want to make full use of their investment and save time to quickly get on with the business of making music instead of trying to figure out the program.

    MacAudioLab Ultimate dp learning series

The instructional dvd deals with dp4, 6, etc... I have dp8. not a problem, as it is intuitive for the most part, and any differences are relatively simple to learn. My only issue has been with the "Xtras_DP_Movies". I really want to see them, but only the first three videos actually have audio AND video. I have looked at the codecs for all 15. #3 MWEQ appears to have the same codecs information as the next 12 that have audio, but no video. I have QuickTime through 10, so I am unsure why the audio is there, but not the video. Otherwise a 10 on a scale of 1 to 5! Not a huge deal, but...

    Fine for DP8

Almost didn't order this because it is for DP6 and I purchased DP8. I was afraid it was outdated. However, I found the video applies extremely well to learning DP8. A few things have moved around (drop down menus and control panels, etc. ) in DP8 from the video, but it's not a biggie to find them in their new positions. Some of the additional items in DP8 not found in the video seem to me few and far between and not that significant. I give the video 4.5 only because I can't think of anyway they could have improved this learning series other than updating it. Otherwise, I'd give it a 5. It's been invaluable.
