    Compact and powerful

We were playing a pretty big hall and sharing a big stage with another band. Both bands had their own sound systems and gear since we could break down when our set was over. The other band had three big 18 inch non powered subs and we only had the DXS15. Well, I was surprised that we were able to get a nice balanced sound and still fill up the place. The other band finished first and when we started they kept coming around to check us out. Now we were not quite as loud as they were but we impressed many people with our setup. When we finished the other band was still loading gear into their trailer.

    Great sub

Bought one of these along with 2 DXR 12's and i have to say that i couldn't be more satisfied. it's powerful and really easy to move when you have 2 people. the rice tag isn't too bad compared to other subs of this quality. i am an up and coming DJ and i think I will be purchasing some more of these when i get the cash. i highly recommend this to anyone who wants some great bass.

    Good Sounding, Compact Subwoofer

I used this as a single, mono subwoofer in a small church install (the sanctuary holds about 100 people) along with 2 flown Yamaha DXR10s for the mid/hi boxes. The sub-bass and power of this box is impressive, especially at the price point. The entire system sounds clear, tight, and punchy with way more than enough headroom for the venue.

    Great drum monitor

I purchased this item a month ago for drummers. I have done 3 shows with it and sometimes I'm running sound for 4 bands each night. The kick sounds amazing and the 12 drummers that had this monitor punching in there side durning their set will tell you the same. I have a 5 monitor mix and this definitely helped me so much with improving my sound on stage for all my bands. We love it.

    Loud but not low

This thing get's very loud. For recorded playback (DJ) use, it will not do for the low stuff in hip hop and dance music. For rock and country, it does pretty well. I would imagine a small live setup would benefit greatly from this sub. It is very efficient in the 50-80 range, but it really lacks below that. That is the nature of a semi-compact bandpass enclosure.

The finish looks very nice, but is very easy to chip. I would invest in a cover. Other than that, it is very well built. The fan is very quiet. It is about as big as many 18" vented/bass reflex boxes, and it it's a little hefty. Matched to your application, I think this is a great box for a good price. I still prefer a vented 18" box though.

I have run this with DXR12s crossed over @ 100hz in Extended LF mode.
