High-power, Class D amplifier

The Yamaha DXR10 employs a 700W RMS Class D amplifier to serve up vibrant, dynamic sound reinforcement. The DXR10 is bi-amped, with a full 600 watts for the LF driver and 100 watts for the HF driver. The high wattage doesn't just let the DXR10 get loud, it gives it the headroom needed to reproduce the dynamics and nuances in your music. And thanks to the ultra-lightweight Class D amplifier, the DXR10's big sound is still convenient to transport.

Stellar sound quality

Yamaha used a lot of innovative technology to get the maximum sonic quality out of the DXR10 powered loudspeaker. For example, Yamaha's FIR-X tuning technology is constantly optimizing the time alignment between the HF and LF drivers, reducing phase cancellations to greatly enhance bass frequency response as well as stereo imaging. Also, the non-resonant ABS enclosure is designed to resist vibrations at high output levels, greatly reducing distortion for the best sound at extreme levels.

Built-in three-channel mixer

While a pair of DXR10 powered loudspeakers makes a great sound system, especially when paired with a Yamaha DXS subwoofer, what about those situations where you just need a little bit of reinforcement without an entire sound system? Just turn the DXR10 around, and connect up to three microphones or line-level signals for instant amplification. The versatile nature of the DXR10 makes it the ideal loudspeaker for solo musicians, as well as schools and houses of worship that need a flexible sound system for multiple applications.

Yamaha DXR10 Powered Loudspeaker Features:
  • High-powered portable loudspeaker with multi-use flexibility
  • 10" speaker, powered by 700W in a 2-way design
  • Built-in 3-channel mixer lets you connect microphones or line-level sources directly without an entire PA system
  • Built-in DSP for phase optimization and transparent dynamic control
  • ABS cabinet is durable with a low-resonance design for maximum sound quality
Yamaha's DXR10 powered loudspeakers pack big performance into a compact design!

Yamaha DXR10

This is a great speaker! We use it as a monitor and sometimes as a satellite speaker. The bass response is full and rich and the vocals are clean and crisp. We use Bose, Yamaha and JBL (L1) as a main PA, depending on the venue and crowd size and this speaker compliments each system.

This speaker is very clear and warm, i am impressed with yamahas latest releases, they keep getting better and better. In my opinion i compared in the music store, this speaker to the JBL PRX12M and while its good, yamaha had that extra warmth and clarity i was looking for. Compare and see for yourself.

Don't hesitate

I must admist that I am a gear junkie and guitar player of sorts. I have been searching for something that I could use in my basement (and other small venues) for some time. I ran a across some good reviews on this product and decided to take the plunge. I use a pair of this with a live band set up: electric guitar, acoustic guitar, electronic drum kit, and a few mics. This system handles it with ease. The clarity and voice of each instrument is beyond accurate and spot on. I have also used a line 6 pod hd 500 and the sound is amazing! I mean that amazing. I haven't owned a solid state amp in the last 20 years and to my ears the warmth of this pair is supersonic. Also, the bass is response is remarkably tight, punchy, and deep. If you were blindfolded there is no way that you could guess that these are 10" drivers. They are pricey, but I am all smiles after using them in my home studio.
