    Classic DW quality

What can I say besides this thing is as good as it gets. Super heavy duty, easy to adjust, and just plain awesome. I've used it to mount a tom. Now I'm using it on my snare and will order another for the tom. Don't hesitate. Just get it. Especially from sweetwater. They are literally the best.

    Solid, Ease, Amazing

I picked up two of these. One for my high tom and the other for my snare. I probably won't ever buy another brand of stand again. If the snare stands are this durable and easy to use, I'm probably going to outfit my cymbal stands with DW as well. DW you don't suck!

Great stand for toms or over sized snares

I called up my Sweetwater sales rep Tyler and was explaining my predicament about the 15" snare I had. My Pearl 900 snare stand wouldn't accommodate anything over 14" so he suggested this one for its sturdier/lower base and snares or toms it could accommodate up to 16". This was perfect and holds the snare like it was built for my particular snare. Get this one and you won't regret it.

    Sturdy!

Quality Gear. You get what you pay for. A bit heavy, but that too is part of the appeal.

    DW tom stsnd

This is a well built stand we have come to expect from DW. I use an airlift tom stand when I need 2 mounted toms but this stand does the job for smaller gigs and times when 1 tom will do the job Its better than a regular snare stand and holds the tom a lot better. The drum is not muffled in any way. Great idea as more drummers are using separate tom stands these days. Well worth the money as this stand will last years.

    Heavier duty than necessary

My band leader has this snare stand for the studio kit I play on at rehearsals. At first I thought-wow this has every adjustment you could ever ask for. Then I started to use it and realised It's over-kill in a number of areas. First of all, its just too heavy in actual weight. I find it too cumbersome when making simple tilting adjustments as it's hard to get to the drum key styled tightening nuts. Why not just put a normal wing nut in that position? i don't care for they way the snare drum is very off-set in comparison to the tripod below. Just alot of poor designs that some one thought was a real hip idea. Not so hip too me, just a pain in the butt. I recommend you Find something simpler that does the job much easier. Yamaha makes great snare stands at a variety of price ranges.
