Sturdy high end throne

Just bought this throne and have only had it for a couple of days. I had a pearl roadster for years and it broke so a new throne was in order. I first picked up the Tama ergo rider hydraulix. Have had that for about a week. Love it but I wanted to try a side by side comparison with this DW as it is more along the lines of what I had originally. Although comfortable, I was finding the shape of the tama to take some getting used to. From the short amount of time I have used the DW I love it. The top is huge, the cushion is firm but very comfortable. The four legs provide extreme stability. The airlift height adjustment is smooth and precise. The seat spins freely so you have easier access around the kit. It's the best round top throne I have used to date. The tama is more comfortable but the dw is what I would get if I were after a more traditional feeling drum throne. It's just so solid. If a soft couch cushion feel is what you are after then the Tama is the end of the search IMO. And I'm certain pork pie or roc n soc also have softer seats. If that's what you are looking for then this might not be for you. Because this one does have a firmer cushion. But it's still comfortable and feels right. Great top of the line throne. I'm gonna have trouble picking between this and the Tama. I dont think you can go wrong with either one, they are just different designs and targeted for different desires.

This is a quality drum throne from DW. No more stripped wing nuts or greasy oily fingers from trying to tighten. One finger operation.... Simple, easy and comfortable!

DW 9000 Throne

I am glad I chose this seat overs like the Roc-N-Soc for several reasons. First, I prefer a simple round versus saddle-shaped seat with no backrest. I like it that the seat height can extend a full range up to 30" without need for extension or having to pick between a shorter or longer model. The quad base is uber solid and heavy duty. The hydraulic device action is smooth and the shaft looks and feels almost over engineered. Very stable and comfortable throne with comfortable but firm seat padding. Packs up easily and compactly. Lives up to the 9000 hardware series quality to which I have become accustomed.
