Detune in tune!

This particular unit was to replace one that I wore out! I have EVH D-Tunas on ALL my guitars with Floyd Rose bridges. There is nothing better for drop D tuning needed for several songs I play with my band. It's quick, easy and accurate when set up properly! I highly recommend these units for Floyd players who drop D tune on and off through performances. In addition, Sweetwater has become my "go to" music store online! Their customer service is second to none!

Meh..

The spring that is included is too weak. The unit rattles when playing due to the spring not holding the unit securely. I had one that came on a peavey Wolfgang and that one did not do this. Looking for suitable replacement spring so it will work properly. It is currently installed on a charvel San dimas.

Junk

I just installed a brand new replacement Floyd Rose Original tremolo. The main reason i chose the "Original" was to accommodate the D-Tuna, as i prefer the "Pro" model bridge, which will not. This D-Tuna is absolute junk. First off, its a screw, a weak spring and what amounts to a metal shim...for $50. The "tuning screw" doesn't have the range to even get close to perfect tune...and yes I've done everything correctly...multiple times. You can achieve everything this thing does by tuning to drop D with the fine tuner backed all the way out, lock your nut, then just tune up to E with the fine tuner. It may take you 2.5 seconds longer, but at least it will be IN TUNE!....that's exactly how the D-Tuna works except it uses a shim to do so. What a rip-off....and now I'm stuck with the bridge i did not want. Sweetwater is fantastic tho. :)
