The DT 990 has been made for listening without stress. This open headphone features a pleasant sound and brilliant bass. The DT 990 gives a three-dimensional sound, that is, it reproduces all details of the various instruments of an orchestra as a unity. You will have a completely unique audio experience. Low headband pressure and a soft padded headband ensure a high comfort. The soft earpads can be easily replaced. The single-sided coiled cable can be extended and is fitted with a gold-vaporized stereo jack plug (3.5 mm) with an adapter that gives freedom of movement.

WOW, the DT990 Pro Headphones are Awesome

Best headset Ever!

This is the most comfortable headset I've ever had i can wear it for such a long hours and never feel like i have it on, also the sound quality it's so great and accurate and thats without using any amp so i can't imagine how it would be with that also i would like to say the customer service was really Good and so the shipping was so quick i would rate this site 10 stars if i could!

Not for monitoring...

Fabolous head phones. I am a home enthusiast interested in getting a better recording and realized I needed to hear the music in total with a flat response first. I feel these headphones do it nicely.
The open back design, I feel, lets the sound breath and not build up pressure in my ears. The dowside is that this alows room sounds or other musical instruments to bleed in.

I've been a fan of headphones for..... ever.
I read about Beyerdynamic some years ago and decided to try them out. What I read intrigued me when they reported the range from 5 Hz to 35kHz. I wondered, how is that possible? Now that I have tried them and absolutely love them, I am no longer intrigued, but amazed at the quality of sound that comes thru.
To put it simply, I have found my forever headphones.

Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro 250 ohm Open-back Studio Headphones

Recommended by Cliff Hackleman at Sweetwater for recording purposes. The open back of headphones makes hearing beyond the input very convenient. The levels are quite low when in use that require a bit more level, but, it only makes sense. I've no intentions in goin deaf. Beyerdynamic does awesome in preventing that. I really recommend!
