    Home Studio Use

Primary use is for home recording, specifically for the isolation features. This is a recent purchase so an additional review is forthcoming. Nice fit, warm sound, and the volume control on the cord is a nice feature for making a subtle change to the incoming signal. Interested in seeing how well they isolate sound, both inside and outside of the cans.

    Perfect headphones

I've been struggling for years with headphone for voicing my clients. I need isolation great sound quality and great construction. These headphones have it all. And my clients love them also

    Solid headphones

These are solid. Very good for isolation. Wouldn't say these have the best clarity of sound but they're not bad by any menas. Build quality is quite good (I also own two pairs of DT770 Pros), love the Beyerdynamics stuff.

Good quality/ Drum response not making the grade.

Purchased these a while back. I really like the comfort of closed over the ear head phones compared to in ear monitors. So I was hoping these would do what the add claims they would do. They do not. I use the Shure top of the line SE535 in ears.Guys, I have now tried everything. Their are simply no head phones that can come close to in ears when your monitoring drums live or in the studio. The DT 770M model.lacks the output level anf fidelity of my in ears 10/1 I have all the bells and whistles, headphone amp, pods, you name it. These are fine for other musicians or FOH use. But not for me. I would suggest you try the Shure in ear models. Even the lower priced ones, I'm ''Shure'' you'll be more satisfied. Happy drumming....Scott.

    NICE FIT REALLY SOUND BAD!

NICE CORD, NICE FIT... REASON FOR BUYING ISOLATION AND SOUND. ISOLATION IS OK BUT BECAUSE OF IMPEDENCE NEED A VERY HIGH POWERED HEADPHONE AMP. I USE A BEHRINGER HA4700 NEVER HAD PROBLEMS UNTIL USING THESE HEADPHONES. THE SOUND IS LOW MUDDY NO PRESENCE NO HIGH END OR HIGH MID. I HAVE TO BOOST THE HIGH EQ ON HEADPHONE AMP TO GET ANY CLARITY FROM HEADPHONE. I AM ALSO PUSHING SO MUCH VOLUME THROUGH AMP AND HEADPHONE THAT IT SITS ON THE EDGE OF CLIPPING AT JUST BARELY ENOUGH VOLUME. I USE THEM TO REPLACE A PAIR OF IN EARS MOLDS DURING A REPAIR, AND WOULD DEFINITLY NOT RECOMMEND THEM. MAYBE THE PRO'S SOUND BETTER.

    Not very good

These headphones block sound very well for drummers, but I would not recommend them. The rubber part that surrounds your ears eventually will start coming out. Also, when it's hot, or they've been sitting around for a while, the rubber coverings will stick to each other and come out. It's a huge hassle trying to put them back in. I threw these in the trash.
