I bought this guitar after playing a similar one at a local guitar shop. Upon it's arrival I immediatley plugged into my Crate 65 watt. After making the necessary adjustments, I was blown away! The action on the guitar was perfect right out of the box, really low, hardly any buzz at all. It's really light, and stays in tune really well. The one sent to me had a small chip in the fretboard past the 22nd fret, no big deal though. The finish is really pretty, the picture doesn't do it justice, it's almost more brown than red. As for the sound, it's a gibson, so naturally, it's gonna sound fantastic. The bridge pickup is really good for heavily distorted stuff, really good low end, and it has that les paul-esque crunch. The bridge pickup on clean is pretty good, not my favorite, but it has it's uses. As for the neck pickup, the clean is excellent. I heard from quite a few reviews that the neck pickup was lame and the clean sucked, though a clean sound really isn't my forte, I've been getting into it more and more since i bought the guitar, the clean sound is fantastic. The price made it possible for me to afford a guitar with the gibson name, and it doesn't suck in the least. This guitar sounds and plays perfectly, I would recommend you make the puerchase immediately.
