Gibson Flying V 2017 T - Alpine White Reviews
Add a new look to your collection with the Gibson Flying V solidbody electric guitar. This guitar uses Grade A mahogany for the body and neck, a fast-playing 1-piece grenadillo fretboard, and a pair of genuine Gibson humbuckers. Guitarists at Sweetwater love the '50s-inspired curves and smooth playability of the Flying V. A pair of Gibson Dirty Fingers humbucking pickups delivers strong output, exceptional clarity, and a wide tonal range, with seriously aggressive attitude. Add a little attitude to your rig with the Gibson Flying V!

Flying V
This is one of several Gibsons I have bought from Sweetwater. Gibson got it right with excellent build quality great hardware and HOT pickups. The pickups were a little TOO hot for me so I swapped them for Seymour Duncan Pegasus/Sentient black/white zebra Alnico 5 pickups. The Dirty Fingers are Ceramic 8 pickups that for me were too hot to play clean. The DF pickups are great for hardcore and prog metal styles, though. I also recommend changing out the linear taper volume pots for Gibson audio taper pots and wiring the tone control '50's style for better tone when the volume control is rolled off. Excellent playability is provided by a slim taper neck and super smooth PLEK'D frets for low action and fast leads. The grenadillo fretboard is smooth and sounds much like rosewood. A hardshell case, leather strap, Gibson multi-tool and fretboard protector sleeve make this guitar complete and ready to rock.

Very happy with this guitar it plays very well. It's about half the weight of my studio Les Paul and the pickups sound great.
