Passive Pickup with Active Power

DiMarzio's D Activator passive humbucking neck pickup is a great choice for players who call Sweetwater wanting the output of an active pickup but needing the tone and convenience of a passive. The D Activator's passive nature gives you more dynamic control than most active humbuckers. This lets you hit the amp harder when you want, get a less aggressive tone when picking lightly, and helps your tone clean up when you roll the guitar's volume back. And this pickup is balanced with the D Activator bridge pickup for seamless pickup switching when both are installed.

One of the best neck pickupd

i always loved the single coil like brightness of the humbucker from h***, but hated the low output......this and the super 2 are high output versions of the humbicker from hell and match my x2n and d activader bridge pickups well.

Nice PUP

Got this along with a D Activator Bridge PUP for my Jackson Kelly. Replaced Duncan Designed Invader knock offs. The Neck PUP is great for sweeps and fast soloing. It sounds jazzy in a clean tone which is surprising. Weird thing is, when played clean, my G string (waits for laughter to stop) rings out LOUD. It's kind of distracting. Not sure if it's the PUP or the way it was installed but that's why this guy only gets 4 stars. But on a Jackson Kelly, I'm basically just shredding high gain anyway.
