    Great Guitar for Great Price

I'm an electric player but have a couple acoustics that I use at times - wanted an acoustic-electric under $500. This is a great deal. Plays well although I found the action to be a bit higher than I like. I removed the saddle and sanded about 1/32" off which was just right to provide good action all the way up the neck. I also smoothed the edges of the saddle, which makes the guitar much more comfortable to play - for some reason they were left kind of pointy. The bone saddle and nut are great features for a budget guitar and are easy to work on. There are lots of quality features that make this way better than any of the "bargain" guitars I tried at local music stores. The Wechter preamp system is excellent and produces great sounds - no need for additional processing gear. The color is very cool too - sets it apart from all the natural top guitars you see, but in a hip sophisticated way. Other than the sharp ends on the saddle, the finish details are all far beyond what you might expect from a low cost guitar. I expect this guitar to serve me well for years and no worries if it picks up a few dings along the way. I'd recommend this guitar to players at any level who are looking for a solid, good playing, good sounding acoustic-electric for under $500 - heck it costs less than half that. Glad I wasn't put off by the low price - it's not a "cheap" guitar.

    Worth every cent!

What a nice guitar. I am mainly a keyboard player but wanted a guitar for knocking around and jamming around the campfire at the lake with friends. Tried many guitars around the $400.00 range but was sold on this Wechter the minute I touched it. Very well set up right out of the box. I did make a slight adjustment to the truss to lower the action a bit. It stays in tune very well and deals with temperature changes better then I thought it would. The electronics are good although I don't use them very much aside from the tuner. Excellent neck with satin finish which is exactly what I wanted. Smooth and fast. Superb tone and projection. I don't think it is very easy to find an instrument crafted this well, with true bone nut and saddle, for under $300.00. I am extremely pleased with this purchase and the folks at Sweetwater are simply great! This guitar, simply put, is a lot of bang for the buck.

    Great value guitar

    Highly recommended, great value.
For the price, I was shocked at the value of this guitar. It sounds really great plugged in and is easy to play. This is a great guitar with a deep sound quality, that rivals other guitars I have that I paid over $500 for. Built in tuner makes life a lot easier and the electronics of the guitar are high quality. The color on this one is deep and rich and not at all fake looking.
