Works great as expected!
Already had one set up and needed another.
Really simple and easy interface. Was able to get driver up and running right away. Would be nice if it came with a small carrying/storage pouch to keep the USB and device together when not in use.
Have been using it with a test software, and i love how it performs, thanks again, just need profile for lights so i can program more scenes and color pallets etc...
This has made my life much easier. I would not consider the build quality to be that great, but functionally it's perfect. I've been using it with the LX Console lighting application on my macbook pro. Then the whole thing gets triggered from an instance of Qlab. It's allowed me to effectively bring my lighting board and control system to every venue that I work. Pretty cool.
This is a solidly built little DMX interface, but I have wasted countless hours trying to get it to work reliably. The Enttec demo app and various 3rd party apps use different, incompatible drivers. I FINALLY got it to work reliably using Apple's new FTDI driver and my own code.
Driver for Linux not provided. Detailed information to write a driver is not available, so it's not very usable with linux.
I don't recommend this device. I used it sporadically for about a year, maybe 5-6 times. When it shipped, it came with a note on top about not plugging in the USB cable too hard. I thought that was a little worrisome, but I decided to keep it and just be very careful with it... even so, after about 16 months it gave out. The green light no longer comes on when the USB cable is plugged in, and my computers don't recognize it. Customer service said it would be $80+shipping to replace since it was out of the 1-year warranty. I am switching to another company.
Even though Enttec and Resolume's sites BOTH say that there is a workaround, after a week of emails between both companies it's clear that is not true and this thing is essentially a paper weight until Resolume Arena 5.0.2 comes out.
They blame each other but it looks like Resolume, which is great software, is just too small a company to deal with the new Apple 3rd party driver protocol right now. Hopefully there will be a fix soon.
Even though this is literally the box they have a picture of on their web page and they are SOLD OUT of this product themselves.
In the meantime HOLD OFF or don't upgrade to El Capitan.
I just wanted to make sure other people know about this situation because they are not clear about it in their documentation.
