    Well made and well fit

I love the way it zips up around the speaker. Very easy to get the speaker in there. I also like that it has a shoulder strap and I can also get to the speaker handle. Very well made and designed!!!

    Straps Not Extra Wide

The padding in this bag is quite minimal. I would not call the straps wide, much less extra wide. The strap is 1 1/2 inch wide (32mm). There is a 3 inch padded sleeve which is your shoulder pad. The problem is this shoulder pad does not stay in place when you carry the speaker. I'm glad the bag allows you to access the large handle on top of the DLM12. This is the way I am carrying the speakers. I'm worried the strap anchor, which is sewn into the outside nylon cover of the bag, will eventually rip away from the bag. I expected the strap anchor to be reinforced on the inside of the bag. I also would like a larger pouch on the outside of the bag, since you have to carry a power cord as well as two or three microphone or guitar cables. If this was a 40 dollar bag I would be satisfied with all the shortcomings but at the 80 dollar price point I think Mackie could get someone to design a better bag for these speakers.

Where is my Extra Wide Sholder Strap?????

I was surprised to discover the extra wide shoulder strap was less than 2 "wide. Its also very thin not a heavy strap, I'm also concerned that the strap is mounted to a very small reinforcing square of the same width and material as the strap sewn into the bag. There is a single rivet in the middle of that reinforcement piece. When you lift up the speaker by the strap it looks like it could easily tear the bag. The stitching for the reinforcement goes through the canvas bag's outer layer and not through to the inside of the bag. There is no reinforcement inside the bag. Now I usually don't review cases and accessories I buy. But this is for Mackie. I realize you are not going to redesign this bag, however, in the future use an automotive seatbelt material for your strap, it is almost an inch wider than this strap and much softer. Reinforce the strap mount to the bag all the way through to the inside of the bag. Ditch the rivet, because, if the stitching on the reinforcement mount fails the rivet is going to tear right out of the bag too. My hope is if this bag fails it will fail within 2 years and Sweetwater will replace it for free!!!!

    Too expensive

These bags are so much better than the covers for the DLM12S subwoofer cover, yet it is the same price. Although very well built, it is only a bag and cannot protect the speaker as well as a hard case.
