Delay Effects That Respond to Dynamics

Create delay effects that blend seamlessly with your mix, with the iZotope DDLY dynamic delay plug-in. Use the sensitivity control to determine the volume level at which the effect begins: as sounds get louder they'll be sent through one delay path, while quieter material passes through the other (or can remain unaffected). It's the perfect way to ensure that delay trails don't cloud an expressive vocal passage, or to add sonic excitement to the loudest notes of a performance. For delay effects that move with your mix, check out iZotope's DDLY dynamic delay plug-in.

iZotope DDLY Dynamic Delay Plug-in Features at a Glance:

Unique...and a you will never regret the purchase price

The DDLY concept of two delays in one plug-in is pretty darn cool. NOT your average delay and not for everyone. I have been using two hardware units to create a similar effect for years, when needed, but no way can you duplicate all the options this plug-in provides. Mitch does a fine presentation of all the variables but he is just scratching the surface. Using this on a vocal clip, specifically the last word of a phrase, will show you the true power of the DDLY. Just to prove a point to a fellow studio engineer, we recorded a the vocal lines of an artist singing the song Black Dog, by Zep. Anyone familiar with the echo of Plant's vocals will know the original sound, that classic Jimmy Page reverb/delay effect. This plug-in took that sound to a whole 'nuther level; the possibilities will smack you right between the eyes! Highly recommended for advanced user's familiar with sync'd delays. Add in the filter FX, the two seperate delays based on threshold options, etc....man, iZotope re-defines the delay effect like no one else! Only negative is this not for the average user looking for an easy to use delay plug-in. Use it on anything...drums,vocals,guitar. Worth 50 bones, for sure!

Daly dynamic delay

Great sound, not an amateur plugin. Love the duel delays. The wave form display really helps you to visualize what each parameter is affecting what part of the signal

very nice

very nice!!!!

Works! but the GUI!!!

It works, like I said. I haven't dived exceptionally deep but the demos show a lot of promise. I would give it a higher rating but... who on earth came up with the GUI? My goodness! It could be the worst thing I've ever come across as a software plugin! There's absolutely no contrast! I can't believe someone was serious about designing this thing. True, I'm no Millenial but gosh.... ...aside from that the processing is cool and shows promise. I just don't get the GUI at all.
