As the name suggests, the Martin D-180 acoustic guitar marks the 180th anniversary of the oldest guitarmaker in the country. This beautiful 14-fret dreadnought was designed with an eye toward early-1800s Martin guitars, and the result is a stunningly beautiful looking and sounding instrument. The D-180 celebrates Martin's anniversary with custom Aulson inlays along the fingerboard, bridge, and headplate. With the addition of 45-style appointments and Golden Era features, the Martin D-180 is clearly one special guitar.

When Martin seto out to build the D-180, they selected proven tonewoods to create the ultimate acoustic guitar experience. From the Adirondack spruce top - with Golden Era X bracing - to the solid Madagascar rosewood back and sides, the D-180 offers both supreme tonality and room-filling projection. The select hardwood modified v-shaped neck cradles a solid black ebony fingerboard with grained Ivoroid binding, perfect for effortless playing comfort.
Custom inlays add to the magicThe D-180 is adorned with breathtaking inlays by master craftsman Jaime Aulson. Along with the guitar's 180th-anniversary fingerboard position inlays, the abalone pearl rosette and style 42 top inlay provide a feast for the eyes. Signature Martin touches include D-45 Golden Era back purfling and grained Ivoroid body binding, along with a black/maple/black fiber endpiece inlay.
Just-right appointments complete the pictureBut the D-180 story doesn't stop there. An array of appointments enhance this acoustic guitar's look. Martin-standard features include a solid black ebony bridge - a 1930s belly style, accompanied by fossilized ivory bridge pins with black pearl dots. Tuning machines are Waverly gold with butterbean knobs. a Delmar tortoise color pickguard and solid Madagascar rosewood headplate contribute to the D-180's aura.
The D-180 has an interior label signed by C.F. Martin IV, and is numbered in sequence with no total. And to properly hold the instrument, a 545 Geib-style case is included. If you crave a truly sublime acoustic guitar experience, the Martin D-180 will deliver just that.
