PRS S2 Custom 24 - Antique White Reviews

    Worth it and more!

Got this guitar cause I really was interested in a U.S.A made PRS but budget wasn't there completely. The S2 where more along my range and let me tell you these guitars have NOTHING to envy from the higher end models. They cut down the costs by looking for ways to build the guitars faster , but by all means with the best quality available. In my opinion they can hang any others guitar company mane and most expensive line of guitars. Also you dont really have to invest in swapping humbuckers , stock ones are out of this world. Very versatile and clear , even under heavy saturation they remain punchy, articulate and very dynamic. Hardware is of very very high quality and over all finish it perfect. For the price i would have suggested a actual hardcase , not a gig bag , for its price point its something than it should include , at least a very simple and protective one. I will be definitely buy another S2 asap.

    Wow what an awesome axe

Prs guitars have something I've always loved and that is the articulation
Each string yields. There is a great separation to sound ...
    The build quality is stunning....
The neck is the perfect carve for all types of playing....from jazz to rock to metal.
The inlay end neck is cool, the tremolo works perfectly.
The pick ups yield a very broad tonal palette with full warm tone
    Playability is comfortable and fast....
Prs basically eliminate all the non sound contributing aspects and what comes out
Is a USA guitar made in their Marylamd plant by the same artisans that make the core line.
So if you want all the tonal power of a A,erican made PRS at a ridiculous price...please
Don't pass up this monster.....by the way mine is scarlet red with amazing book matched flame
    Really beautiful.....

    AWESOME!!!!

This is a great guitar. I have owned several strats, les pauls, and 335s. In fact, I still own one of each them. This has become my favorite. I lowered the bridge saddles a bit to get the action to where I liked it. NO BUZZING!!! Even with extreme bends. Stayed in tune through out every thing I could throw at it. There was some kind of black substance on the strings that was all over my fingers. No one could tell me what it was. I wiped it off and suddenly, it kept slipping out of tune. I wish I knew what that stuff was. I would find it, buy it and put it back on. Dirty fingers are a small price to pay for a guitar that will stay perfectly in tune! Single coil tones are great. Humbucking tones are great. The only thing missing is that "in between" strat tone. Ce'la vie. Another small sacrifice. Overall, I "absotively positutely" love this guitar. Sweetwater has earned another loyal customer.

    Money well spent!!

Is this the greatest guitar in the history of the world?! Well no, but who can afford one of those, not the weekend warrior with a full time job such as myself, but this PRS is, in my opinion, the best deal going and fits me perfectly. I didn't buy this guitar at Sweetwater, got it a couple hundred bucks cheaper elsewhere, but I do buy a lot of gear from Sweetwater and they're always great to deal with. The S2 Custom 24 is made in the US, (according to their ads) but almost half the price of their original Custom 24's, they say that it's a stripped down version of the original Custom but I don't get it, stripped down from what? It has almost the exact same features that I can tell... same bridge, locking tuners, pickups with a coil tap, and bird inlays, the only difference that I can see is that the top carve is "harder" on the S2 and I guess it doesn't have the 10 top or whatever the whiz bang finish is that they usually put on the Customs. What this guitar is... in a nutshell:
A solid, well built, great playing, great sounding, American made, working man's axe, with a slightly less than perfect finish and reasonably priced.
    What this guitar is NOT:
A show piece that you lock away in display case hoping that it will be worth a fortune in 20 years that you had to sell your first born to buy it today.
All in all, this is the best guitar for the money.
