    More than enough!

I've had this amp for years and have used it in various venues: "concert-style" church, jazz concerts, recitals and various bands. It has never failed to deliver. It has terrific "build-quality" and is very versatile. Pitted against ear-splitting drums and guitars running through Marshall and Mesa Boogie amps, it held its own at "6". With a small hand-truck it'll go the distance.

    Great Combo Bass Amp!

I was looking for a good-sounding, feature-rich combo amp, and the Roland 120 XL fit my needs to a T! By today's standards, it's a bit heavy for a 1/12 combo, but that is a small price to pay for its tank-like construction and sturdiness; and, despite its weight, it is a compact amp, and still provides an easy schlep.
What you get for the modest price is fairly amazing: with it's ported design, the combo is surprisingly loud and bass heavy, considering its 120 watt power rating. As such, it is perfect for the small and medium-sized venues that my band plays in. Along with it's 7 excellent built-in amp models, it houses an entire pedalboard's worth of high-quality Boss effects. On balance, it lets me dial in any sound I need for the styles of music that I play: everything from old-school thump to modern grind and edge are readily available. I own a variety of vintage and new SD Curlee basses (the best basses ever!), and played through this combo, they sound like the voice of God. Bass Heaven!
I actually now own two 120XL's, one that I use for home practice, and one that lives in my band's rehearsal studio and goes out on gigs. My money says that they will prove to be durable and reliable, so that I can enjoy their quality construction, extreme versatility, and professional-caliber sound and performance for a long time to come. Highly recommended for the bassist who plays in smaller rooms, or who has a robust PA, and needs an amp that can serve as a high-quality stage monitor.!

Geat sounds come in small packages

I love this new amp. The feedback from someone is that it feel like it thumps their chest more than my previous amp (2-10" and 1-15" with 200watts) I use it in a church that seats 580 with the balcony. I love the onboard optional modeling and tuner. I am totally satisfied. I would highly recommend this bass amp. I also love buying from Sweetwater.

    Love the Sound

Great amp and easy to carry to gigs. With the built-in effects and amp models anyone can find the sound they like. As I am getting older I wanted a amp for small to mid gigs without having to move around my ampeg rig. I am very happy with this amp and Sweetwater!!!!

    Roland Cube 120XL is SUPERB!

I have been looking for a good amp that was light enough for me to carry to practice and gigs but was unable to find exactly what I wanted that was light and priced within my budget....When I saw the Roland 120XL I first thought that it was overpriced for it's size and power, but let me tell you that this amp is built like a tank and has so many great features already built in....It has chorus, delay, two reverbs, poly octaver, compressor, drive and an 80 second looper with unlimited overdubs...If you had to buy all the pedals that this amp has built in you would spend well over $700.00 and the effects are great...If you are playing in a larger venue can take a 8 ohm cab and hook it up to the extension speaker jack for a lot more kick and volume....You should not buy this amp if you are already going deaf from playing loud music or you have to use ear plugs on stage!!!! There are many other features on this amp that I did not mention....All I can say is buy this amp and try it....It is a great amp that is very well built and has the Roland name to back it up....I love this amp, Thanks Roland

Great BAss Amp In a Small Box

This was my first bass amp and I'm glad I bought it first. Now I don't have to up-grade and buy another amp. All the bells and whistles work and sound very cool and the combinations are endless. My entry level Epiphone sounds super through this amp. Buy it!

    very good

very good, the amp modeling sounds authentic, easy to transport, and with a big sound. The built-in tuner needs time to get use to.
