    Classic 410

I have owned this amp. I have also owned many high-end premium boutique amps. Four different Victoria amps, Tone King, Eric Clapton low-power twin, Fender Vibro King, 68 Super Reverb and a 57 Vibrolux.

This amp is underrated and practically unknown. It has a gorgeous, unique clean tone and is one only a few amps I wish I hadn't sold.

The sound is amazing. One of the best tube amps period! The ripping sounds make you sound phenomenal!

    Great AMP!!

This is one seriously sweet sounding amp. It has enough of what it takes to handle even large club gigs, and with proper miking and decent FOH, it can handle any size gig. All tubes, great sounding speakers and a very cool look make this a fantastic deal for the money. I'm just a rhythm guitar chunker to fill in the blanks for real guitarists and all of them want my amp! Hands off, Clapton wannabees, get your own! It is heavy though (65 lbs?) so not for the rockers of a certain age unless you want a hernia. It's also probably not a starter amp. That would be like learning to drive on a Mazeratti. You could do it, but you might put your eye out. I use it on the nastiest sound possible 99% of the time, but my real guitarist got it to sound like a big Fender with a tad of growl. You can't go wrong with this amp.

    Working mans amp

Peavey makes bulletproof gear. Loud, great tone. The cleans are great with a strat for that fender classic glassy punchy tone. The overdrive channel is crunchy and clear. Real spring reverb like a real vintage amp. All in all has all the best features of a fender tweed with lower price. Mine is an older model made in USA but these Chinese ones seem just as good. The cons? It can be a little too bright....so roll off the treble and presence knobs as needed. Also like I said the new ones are made in China. It could use name brand speakers too but for the price you can't have the best speakers. Thanks Peavey, all Classic peaveys are real working man amps.
