Pro Bass player, soon to be pro Recording Engineer. :)

It's a little tube amp that sounds GREAT!!

Okay... I knew it wasn't going to be "loud" going into it... Well, for clean sounds anyway... But, wow!! This thing coupled with an SWR 2x10 cab with the tweeter turned off and it's a dream for recording... Unfortunately, that's about all it's good for... Even at a relatively low volume rehearsal it was starting to break up when I was trying to keep it clean... That said, when you want distorted sounds, it's a TON OF FUN!!

I'm sad to say that I wouldn't buy this amp if it was the only amp you were planning on using to gig with...But hey, with Sweetwater's return policy, it's worth kicking the tires...

I'm using it with a P-Bass with flat wound strings on it and I can get all those vintage tones of the 60's and 70's... I was comparing it to one of those Vintage flip-top amplifiers and it was holding its own... The passive EQ takes a little getting used to. When adjusting anything, it affects something else. Like, I enjoy playing it with the bass knob all the way up, and the Mid and Treble all the way off. Start turning up the kids and treble and the bass starts going away...

I'm going to post a video about it on Youtube shortly to go through what I feel wasn't covered in the other videos on this little gem...

Great bass (or guitar!) head for studio or small venue. If it had a line out, it would be perfect. I use an attenuator so I get a line out anyway.

Louder than I thought possible for 15w. I use it on low volume jazz gigs with Ashdown 1x10" cab and it works/sounds great. Great tube tone, looks cool. Hihgly recommended!

Great Rock sound- not as warm as I expected from all tube

This is a real good "grind" tube sounding head- sounds great for pick style playing Judas Priest type eighth notes- WOuld not characterize it as very warm, and can't really get that warmer motown sound out if it. (At least I can't)
Very loud for the size/watt rating, would compare it to a 100-150 watt solid state head.
Little bit noisy as well as it picks up static in the atmosphere. Still debating what to do with it overall.
