The Big Sound of Orange Amps

Orange Amplifiers expands its line of solid-state Crush amps with new CR60C 60-watt 1 x 12" combo. This Crush amp delivers more authentic Orange tone than ever, with both amp channels being designed after the Rockerverb. The clean channel sports two gain stages that start to break up when it's cranked, and the dirty channel uses four gain stages to deliver classic Orange overdrive tones.

Orange Crush

I bought the Orange Crush 60W as a Christmas present to myself. It sounds great and has plenty of power. I like the choices of reverbs. Best sounding solid state amp I've ever played

Tubes? We don't need no stinkin Tubes!

This is my second Orange Amp. My first was a Dual Dark head. Made in England. It was tough to choose a foreign Orange after that.

After buying this amp, I do not have the Dual Dark anymore.

If you know what THAT amp is, it says so much about how great THIS amp is. It is incredibly more versatile.

Maybe I didn't have the right appreciation for inherent gain but the EQ, clean or dirty, on the CR60 is far superior. Ease of use and the 'tone' (for lack of a better word, I hate that term) is much greater. You don't need tubes. This amplifier was built right.

Immediately after opening, I tried all of my pedals. Worried that some pedals were only for, or best with, tube amps, I was relieved. My main fuzz, a Fuzz Lord based Russian Muff was killer. It sounded better on the Crush than the Dual Dark! Boost? Do it. It's not just for pushing valves. Add some wah, reverb, echo, distortion, whatever you want. Does it all. And well!

I think it made me a better player. Definitely sparked more creativity.

Some homemade effects are a little noisy but it is not the amps fault.

The onboard reverbs are great. The hall reverb has been my go to. More prominent and better sounding than the plate and spring. It is a nice addition when other reverb types, echos, and delays are in the pedal chain.

This amp kills the tube vs solid state argument which is a joke to begin with. Seriously, it's dumb. Play well, sound well.

David Mikaudatze is a cool dude. Always been there. Quick to respond. Magical in making out of stock items appear. If I need or want anything NEW, it's coming from Sweetwater.

Love this amp!

This was my first Orange amp and I could not be happier with it. The dirty channel is heavy when you crank the gain and the clean channel sounds great. I run my pedal board through the fx loop and everything works perfectly. Highly recommend this amp!

Best solid state amp... Period

I've been playing guitar for 23 years now and I've acquired more than my share of high gain distortion pedals and several amps to run them through but I gotta say the Orange CR60 is hands down the best pedal platform combo amp I've ever had the pleasure of coming across. The dirty channel is sweet but the clean channel is otherworldly when it comes to running effects pedals through. It captures the essence and tone precisely regardless what you run through it. The FX loop is a big plus too. I bought my first one about 6 years ago but lost it in a flood after hurricane Florence so after I got my bearings about I immediately purchased a replacement. In fact I recently bought the Super crush 100 head that I run through my PPC112 and it's just as impressive. Orange hit the nail on the head with these crush series amps. I'd recommend this amp to anybody. YOU ROCK ORANGE AMPLIFICATION!

Crank it up !

After buying and trying 4 different amps over the last year and a half, I've finally found my sweet spot. This Orange is perfect for me. I'm a 60+ yr old player with only 2 yrs experience and struggled trying to find the best amp for a novice like me who just started gigging. I previously used my Orange 35RT which I love, but couldn't really hear myself play. I considered a Boss Katana, a Fender Champion 50, but decided to go for it with the Orange Crush CR60C. It's simple, no nonsense, analog controls are perfect for me. The dirty channel puts forth thick, rich rock tones !!! For a chord strummer like me it was a home run ! Love it...

The Orange Crush CR60C simply sounds great. I love the warm tone that I get out of it when I play this amp; it really has that true Orange sound to it. The easy-to-navigate EQ - coupled with the 3-way reverb selector - makes it very easy for me to switch between genres of music I'm playing without having to use multiple amps. It's great for practicing at home, but is equally as versed when it comes to small gigs.
