I also purchased a Martin a few years back, but wish I had purchased this instrument !!!! Spectacular Sound !!!! EASY TO PLAY !!!! GREAT STUFF !!!!!

I'm so glad I talked myself into buying this beauty. It sounds just as good through an amp as it does acoustically. Great bottom sound. I use it primarily for playing Cat Stevens and Al Stewart songs.

I've just received my new Ovation Celebrity Elite Plus CE44P-8TQ, and I have to say......right out of the box......what an AMAZING GUITAR!
I've never really been into Applause or Ovation but a friend of mine told me about this guitar and I thought ( why should he lie to me), so I order the guitar and here I am, really really surprised over the sound and feeling to play it. I've been more of a Ibanez and Taylor guy all my life but now I have to change my mind......I really ( already) love this guitar, and also the color I picked ( blue). I can only say what I use to say when I buy from Sweetwater, I'm always 200% satisfied, because these people are the real pro when it comes to music instruments. I've been a costumer for 12 years and they have never let me down, so, again, highest possible score for these guys, and specially Geoff Allen.

I had been contemplating adding a new Ovation to my collection and this model in blue was the right choice! Looks and plays beautifully!

Very happy with the purchase I made. Had strings replaced and the action checked. After arrival had to wait 24 hours before opening per instructions. Then I checked it over and was very happy with the purchase. It played very well action was very good also.

This was my first time ordering a guitar through Sweetwater. I had a pleasant experience and appreciated the regular communication from Jack Lob, my sales rep. When I placed an order for my Ovation, it was out of stock and had to wait 3 weeks for this guitar to come in from the supplier, which I expected. I got regular updates on the status of it and was happy it came in faster than I expected. The guitar came in beautiful condition and I was able to play it as is! It arrived right on time for some gigs I have in the next few days and I'm so stoked to use it live. I mostly play electric at gigs. I really wanted to get a stellar acoustic since I've been getting hired for more acoustic gigs lately. I've been interested in Ovation guitars for years and I love that I finally have one. It's a great show guitar and not only does it sound incredible, especially plugged in, but I know it will catch people's eyes in the audience. Absolutely love this guitar!

This is the third guitar I've ordered from Sweetwater, and like my other experiences, it was great. Many thanks to my man Nick for all his help. The guitar looks stunning, and it plays and sounds amazing just like an Ovation should. The setup was perfect for me out of the box. I'm very pleased once again buying from Sweetwater, and I love my new guitar. I had an Ovation Balladeer many years ago and always regretted selling it. This one in Caribbean Blue is a beauty, and I love its distinctive sound both acoustically and amplified. It's a keeper!

I bought this a little over a month ago. It was set up perfectly right out of the box. Intonation etc, right on the money. It sounded great and had excellent action...THEN I plugged it in--AMAZING tone. My friend (who plays a Martin) was SO jealous and impressed. This thing sounds and plays as beautiful as it looks. No regrets on the purchase, OR by going with SWEETWATER!

I have always wanted one of these guitars just because of the sound holes and appearance. And this one is gorgeous. I am not a fan of D'Addario strings and especially the 80/20 ones. I changed then after tuning it and setting it up. The action at the 12th fret was about double of what I like. But a simple truss rod adjustment and changed the shim under the saddle which was provided and that was all it needed. Then the Martin Authentic strings 12-54 really brought it around. It mellowed it out nicely. Which is my preference. It plays super easy and sounds great. What more could you ask? And it is gorgeous.

I have always loved Ovation; it has a unique sound all of it's own. No guitar can sound like an Ovation. When I first got the guitar I used a "Universal II Chromatic Tuner" to tune it since it came from Fort Wayne, Indiana and I'm much higher and in a much dryer climate here in Greeley, Colorado. The guitar out of the box sounded a bit tinny and I didn't think I was going to get used to it nor did I think I should have to. But after tuning it up with the said tuner, the tinny sound from the guitar didn't go away. Then I tuned it with the on board Ovation tuner and the tinny sound was gone; imagine that!?!? This guitar is as smooth to play as it is smooth to look at. What a beauty indeed; I truly do love this guitar to be sure. Thank you Ovation and thank you Sweetwater.com.!!!!! :-)

LOVE IT!!!!!!!! Purchased the Trans Blue Quilted Blue Ovation some time ago and cant say enough about the great sound and look of this guitar(not to mention the excellent customer service from Sweetwater).

I just recieved my new Ovation today!! And I'm completely in LOVE with this guitar! It looks gorgeous! It plays very nicely BUT the best part is that it sounds beautiful !! Acoustically very nice but I couldn't wait for rehearsal tomorrow night so I plugged her into a Fender twin ultrachorus I use as a home practice amp and Wow! Full rich dynamic sound! Every string sounds as strong as the next no weak spots. Don't want to put it down!
For the price and the quick service you can't beat this guitar or Sweetwater.com Now this beauty is going into the collection right next to my 12 string Ovation I've been playing for 30+ years!

I always wanted to learn to read guitar tab, understand guitar theory, and play the guitar., Since mu purchase I have bought a few accessories, all which perform well. My guitar has a sweet tonal quality, which makes you to want to play more. Feels good in my hand, and it is easily strummed.

Nice and still happy after two months. The sound is awesome, and so is the feel. Lastly, it is beautiful.

The Ovation CE44P-8TQ mid-depth trans. blue quilt maple guitar is striking in appearance. Truly, its construction and design is remarkable! Highlights include the very-playable neck (reminiscent of electric guitars), the resonant and well-balanced sound, and the control achievable plugged-in through the built-in preamp. You can be sure of a dependable instrument.

Beautiful body, nice sound

This guitar has such amazing tone, it just blew me away. For the money there isn't a better guitar out there. Only flaw I see in it is the tuning machine heads, plan on upgrading.
