Impressive looks and playability

Time-tested PRS tonewoods - a balanced mahogany body, designer maple top, and velvety rosewood fingerboard with a fast maple neck - give the CE 24 a warm and balanced sound with a look you'll love. Sweetwater guitarists are big on the CE 24's thinner body and more comfortable top carve, which feel great against the wrist and forearm for strumming.

Bolt-on maple neck captures the excitement of the original

Fans of the original CE series will feel right at home playing the updated PRS CE 24's bolt-on maple neck. The CE 24 plays a lot like a Custom 24 but has a woodier attack and sharper bite you can really dig into. Whether you play blues leads or rock 'n' roll rhythms, the PRS CE 24 has a sound for you.

Versatile 85/15 pickups for 6 humbucker/single-coil sounds

Modern-voiced with vintage characteristics, the CE 24's coil tapped humbuckers sound great for rock and pop, indie, metal, or punk. A push-pull pot lets you transition from scorching metal leads to sweet California twang on the fly.

Unbelievable!

This guitar is nothing short of astounding. Rock solid in tuning, playability is phenomenal, and the sounds that can be pulled out of this guitar are crazy. I don't know how to describe it other than transparent. It sounds so crystal clear, and the sustain is ridiculous. The 85/15 pickups are so articulate, and never become muddy, even when turned all the way up. I'm definitely a PRS believer after purchasing this guitar. If you're on the fence, do yourself a favor and buy it. You're welcome!

My Favorite guitar so far

This was shipped to me at work on a Friday afternoon, I pulled it out, played it for 5 minutes and took it to my gig that night. It usually takes a while for me to get used to a guitar, but not this one. Out of the box, it was perfectly set up (almost in tune, except for one string). I had my regular guitar as backup, but never put the PRS down for the whole night. The band plays covers, from rock 80's stuff to modern pop. This guitar killed it on everything. Visually, it's a stunner. It plays like butter, and the high frets are easy and comfortable to reach. The pickups sound great: the bridge cuts through while remaining smooth sounding and not a hint of piercing. The neck pickup sounds creamy with overdrive, and thick and smooth clean. Split coils are really cool too. I have a few good guitars but this PRS is hard to stop playing and I find myself staring at it with drool coming out of my mouth. Sweetwater is always great to order from. They ship it quick and clean, give you a courtesy follow up call, and this time, they threw in an extra set of strings to try out. Oh, and the candy too. I know it's small stuff, but that's what makes the difference.

PRS CE

I have had the guitar for a couple of weeks now and it is truly an amazing guitar. I looked at Gibsons and Fenders in this same price range and watched a ton of videos on PRS. What really helped sell me on their guitars was how genuine their workers at the Maryland factory and endorsed artists seemed. I was going to get an S2 but opted for the CE 24 for the Pattern Thin neck and the 85/15's. In short I wanted a do it all guitar and that is exactly what I received. The guitar is flawless. The attention to detail is amazing. The way it plays is fantastic. I was a little worried about the finish and how it would hold up. A.J reassured me that the niro finshes of today are a lot better than the nitro finishes of old. The matte finish is awesome. I did have to by a new stand and strap that were natural finish friendly. (Cooper Stand and Mono ....seem to be working well so far) If you are debating on how to justify the price like I was (an extra $450 over the S2 I was looking at) think of how minmal the difference is over the life of the guitar. The quality is there and worth every penny if you ask me. I have an extremly amazing guitar that inspires me to play, sounds amazing, feels amazing and looks amazing. Like others have stated the gig bag is great quality too. I oreded a case from PRS directly and it is worth the price tag. I know that my guitar is well protected. This is the second guitar I have purchased through Sweetwater along with recording and drum gear. A.J. continues to be an amazing representative. He has helped with all of it over the last two years and I will look forward to continuing to do business with Sweetwater. It's my first PRS and will not be my last.

love this guitar!!

I bought this guitar and received it 12/4/16 I can not get over how much I enjoy this guitar. I didn't know if I would be a PRS type of guy I play mainly heavy music in the the vein of Pantera, Lamb Of God, Meshuggah ect. This guitar can play that and so much more. The neck is one of the best I have ever played the tonal qualities of the pick ups are unreal weather in humbucking or single coil mode. I wasn't sure i would like the tremolo as all my other guitars have Floyd's or Floyd Rose licensed but the tremolo stays in tune after the strings are stretched good and I do bang on it.Last but not least it is beautiful every time I pick it up I go wow. Thanks to Mark Bruhn for sending me pictures of different ones for me to choose the one I got has beautiful tiger striping. Whatever the music this guitar can do it.I have 6 electrics this is my number 1.

Satin Bliss

I am blown away by this guitar. First, I was uncertain about the finish on the guitar but the satin nitro finish is great. It plays and sounds amazing. My favorite thing about this guitar is the satin neck-it makes so much difference. Just awesome.
