CD Recorder with Pro Features!

The TASCAM CD-RW901MKII professional CD recorder gives studios the professional connections and features they need, like AES-EBU digital I/O, RS-232 serial control and a timed track increment for adding CD track ID markers during recording. We've been outfitting pro studios at Sweetwater for decades, and we can recommend the CD-RW901MKII as a reliable solution for any CD recording project. And with XLR balanced analog I/O plus a wired remote control, it's easy to integrate the TASCAM CD-RW901MKII rackmount CD recorder into your studio.

Flexible I/O: XLR and RCA inputs with level controls

The balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA ins and outs feature dedicated input level controls, so it's easy to manage your signal levels for optimum sound quality. Digital inputs are provided in both AES/EBU and S/PDIF format, with automatic sample rate conversion for compatibility with nearly any signal. The CD-RW901MKII even plays back MP3 files with ID3 titles.

Time Track Increment adds CD tracks automatically

A Time Track Increment feature automatically adds a CD track ID every few minutes (selectable from 1 to 10 minutes), ideal for house of worship and event recording. It's perfect for longer events, allowing you to divide your program material into tracks without extra editing after recording.

Handy pitch and speed controls

Pitch control on the CD-RW901MKII is also a standard feature, with up to 16% control over playback. A new function called Key Original changes the playback speed without affecting the pitch. It's perfect for adjusting a piece of music to a specific length, or for making a song match a specific tempo.

Value for money.

One of the few remaining brands, where you can get a cd-recorder. No fuzz with difficult computer-programms. As much connections, as you can have, on such a device: XLR in/out AES/EBU digital XLR in/out, cinch -RCA in/out, digital optical/coaxial in /out. Extensive menu-options (read carefully before use). You can use any type of cd-r media, you don,t have to use "special" audio cd-r discs. Though not an 'highend" device, it does its job: 100%. Recording-quality is outstanding, and an recorded cd even seems to sound better than the original. Very clear sound. Warning: XLR-output level can be too high, for some high-end amplifiers, but you can decrease, its outputlevel on the backside, of the recorder (ATT), to prevent any distortion, using the anolog XLR-outputs. Real value for money.

Excellent Workhorse Recorder

I love recording CDs from various sources: Compilations of favorite music for each year, old band and demo tapes recorded onto Mini-Disc, and so forth. I'm very happy with my purchase. Thank you Mr. Leonard for another great purchasing experience.
