Great bass!

Well first off, the fit and finish for an instrument in this price range if simply fantastic. These Indonesian made Jackson basses are very well put together. No paint flaws, top notch binding, quality hardware, great electronics and a very clean and well thought out control cavity. Playability is also very good. The neck is perhaps a little thicker than I expected, but it's very playable and easily navigated. The binding and the inlays look sweet and the frets are level and nicely crowned. It's got a tremendous amount of tonal options thanks to it's passive EMG pickups that are wired up to an EMG active preamp. You get the volume, balance, treble, mid and bass controls which pretty much covers everything you'll need. Power to the active circuit is provided by a 9 volt battery. Nice hardware all around including the Jackson bridge which looks very much like a Bad*** II bridge. Overall it would be pretty hard to find a better built, better sounding, playable instrument in this price range. Excellent in all departments.

Great bass with quality sound

I have had this bass for 2 years its more of a bright sound , but tweek the EQ and u have bottom doesnt have those dead spots on fret board . It also has great pick ups I was optimistic about the HZ passive EMGS . They sound great active EQ dials you in . Stays in tune well I use Ernie Ball Cobalt strings. You can slap pull if u want sounds good . Dont get me wrong more of a metal rock bass . Bass is great I have no complaints. 600 u dont have to replace pick ups already there . You cant get EMG pick ups and active pre amp for this price .
