This is our second Meini Cajon purchase. The first one was purchased several years back. We have traveled with it and used it alot!! Needed to replace! We love the sound and look of this Cajon. We use it on Sunday mornings in our worship service and also use it in the praise bands for Middle and High school students! We now have 3 Meini Cajons!! We highly recommend this product!!!

First cajon!

This cajon was a birthday present for my son! Loved it!!!! It sounds great, well made and really beautiful!! As the buyer I was completely blown away with the personal communication by Daniel at the time of my order!! He called me not 5 minutes after I placed my online order!! Truly is a comfort knowing I can call or email for any questions!! Will definitely be ordering lots of Christmas gifts from Sweetwater!!!

Meinl Makah-Burl Frontplate Traditional String Cajon

I just received my Meinl Makah-Burl Frontplate Traditional String Cajon with the gig bag. I bought it for my wife's 60th birthday. I played it this morning. I am not an expert Cajon player but it looks and sounds great and is very sturdy. I bought the Meinl Cajon brushes and Meinl Bamboo Cajon sticks and they are great. I have been a Sweetwater customer for a while and as always got great service and quick delivery. I think my wife will love it.

Beautiful cajon

I love my Meinl burl cajon that I got from Sweetwater. The wood pattern matches my Dean Exotica guitar perfectly. The sound is good. The snares at the top are crisp and responsive. The bass slap at the bottom is throaty and nice. It could be a little deeper, but for the price, it sounds great. I always love the soft bag that came with it. I just pop in my egg shaker, zipper her up and I'm ready to go.

Love It

Just received my Makah Burl Cajon with Gig Bag. We are using it on an acoustic gig coming up. Been experimenting with different mics and placement. Very full bodied controlled sound. Have been able to achieve excellent separation between kick and snare with relative ease. I do advise taking some time and learning all the nuanced ways of tuning these instruments. Can get pretty different results playing with screws and string tension. Very happy with this purchase and the value. I have also used a headliner from church which I enjoyed as well.
