Cordoba C7 SP/IN Nylon-string Acoustic Guitar at a Glance:
  • Traditional design
  • Quality tonewoods
  • Great look, great playability
Traditional Design

The Cordoba C7 SP/IN doesn't skimp on construction. The C7 SP/IN features traditional handmade classical guitar design, including the solid European spruce top and Spanish-style fan bracing. Fan bracing is preferred for classical guitars over lattice bracing, as it allows the guitar's top to vibrate more freely while still providing evenly balanced tone.

Quality Tonewoods

While the Cordoba C7 SP/IN is inexpensive, Cordoba did not sacrifice quality materials. The Indian rosewood back and sides set a powerful tonal foundation for the solid European spruce top, giving you the right balance of warmth and brightness. The neck is solid mahogany, for maximum transfer of string energy to the spruce top. A rosewood fingerboard and bridge complete the elegant look.

Great Look, Great Playability

The Cordoba C7 SP/IN is a joy to simply look at, from the detailed rosette inlay and Indian rosewood binding to the gold tuners with pearl buttons. And you'll love how the gloss finish shows off the Indian rosewood body and solid European spruce top. But looks aren't everything - the C7 SP/IN was designed with playability in mind, and the great look is just the icing on the classical cake.

Cordoba C7 SP/IN Nylon-string Acoustic Guitar Features:
  • Great-sounding guitar at an amazing price
  • Traditional Spanish fan bracing provides a balanced, lively sound
  • Indian Rosewood back and sides for full-bodied frequency response

Extremely Beautiful in every way, sound, feel. They checked the product before the sent and sent picture after. 5/5

Like other reviewers I've played and owned other classical guitars. If I had sat down and played this guitar without knowing the price, I would have guessed it was several hundred dollars higher than the actual price. I've played a Córdoba C9 and the biggest differences are ornamental, in my opinion. The C7 SP/IN is very well made, save a little excess glue around the bridge. The bookend matching of the soundboard could have been better, but in this price range I have no complaint. To top it all off, there is a very nice gloss finish. The guitar's voice is gorgeous, very resonant and balanced. The influence of the spruce soundboard is very obvious as compared to cedar- it has a nice crisp sound while still maintaining an overall mellow voice one would expect from a nylon string guitar. I was also very surprised to find that this guitar has a two way truss rod in it. This is an excellent feature that most classical guitars, even higher end classicals don't often come with. And Córdoba includes a truss wrench in the gig bag. I don't feel this is just a beginner or starter classical- I've been playing for over thirty years (mostly steel string) and this is easily an intermediate guitar. The guitar's action at the 12th is a little high for me- I'll have to check the neck relief to see if I can go to lower action. Even if I can't, this is still a very playable guitar. A lot of classicals in the lower price ranges have problematic high action and there is no truss rod to bring the action down. You're stuck. Usually I dislike gig bags but this one is not bad at all. It is water resistant and unlike other gig bags, I'm pretty certain the guitar can be humidified in the gig bag. This is a big plus as usually a hard case has to be separately purchased for humidification. All in all, this was a great purchase and kudos to the folks at Sweetwater in sales and setup. If you're going to buy online, Sweetwater is hard to beat in terms of pricing, fast shipping, easy returns (if needed) and customer service.

An awesome intermediate guitar! The sound is so warm and loud you can actually feel it resonate as you play. I've played so many guitars in this range this one by far blows others away.
