Fishman Powerbridge for copping acoustic tones

You know when a company uses any products from Fishman in their design that the acoustic sounds are going to be top-notch. This definitely applies for the C-1 E/A. Perfect for times you need to switch from acoustic to electric guitar mid-song, this could be the only guitar you play through your whole gig. A flick of the toggle is all it takes to shift from electric to acoustic tones. Or, you can get a huge, layered sound with both tones at the same time.

Schecter Diamond Plus humbucking pickups with coil tap for a plethora of electric sounds

Think having the Powerbridge is nice? You also get the proprietary Schecter Diamond Plus humbucking pickups with coil tap. That's the equivalent of the sounds of four different guitars. With humbucking, single-coil, acoustic, and layered acoustic-electric sounds, there isn't a gig out there that this guitar won't be able to handle with ease.

Semi-hollowbody design offers rich warm response

What's not to love about a semi-hollow electric guitar? It adds a warmth and dimension to your tone that can't be found on a solidbody. It also adds a classic look to the top of the instrument. The C-1 E/A has this in spades with its original take on the F-hole. And that doesn't even mention the weight relief it will offer you. Play it electric or acoustic, have it on your shoulder all night long, and look good doing it!

Schecter C-1 E/A Features:
  • Fishman Powerbridge for acoustic tones
  • Humbucking pickups with coil tap offers humbucking and single-coil sounds
  • Semi-hollowbody construction giving weight relief and a warm open sound
  • TonePros T1Z tailpiece for sturdy construction and easy string changes
  • Thin C contoured neck for comfort
Get it all in the same guitar with the C-1 E/A!

C-1 E/A magic

Will try to make a long story short. 1-Sweetwater is amazing! If you buy from anyone else you are just spending too much money and selling yourself short on service that is out of this world... 2-The product. My expectations were pretty high as this is the most I have ever spent on a guitar. I examined this soooo closely that anything would catch my eye. The HD pics on line here at Sweetwater were clearer than I can see. Only 1 imperfection, and I didnt notice this myself, I noticed it in the HD pic, was a tiny dark spot on the light of the cut for the semi hollow at its top end. First hand, I did not see it but after reviewing the pics, I searched and found the tiniest of things. Its about the size of a pen tip. Otherwise, could not find anything even remotely wrong. That is amazing. The finish atop, sides, back, neck, head, everything is otherwise flawless. I have seen Gibs with worse finishes! The E/A arrived ready to play, tuned, and after 3 days playing only required a half turn on the truss to relieve a slight buzz in playing. The sounds off of this are truly something to behold. I have had others say that the pickups are muddy. My take is not the same. I find them to be spot on. If you want that heavier jazz, maybe change pickups but with proper adjusting of this, and a good amp (I use Orange) its not only fine, buy exceptional. Compare to other mfr for an E/A with these features, and you're in it for roughly double the price. With that, I have nothing to complain about and so much to thank for. Sweetwater for masterfully prepping this beauty and getting to me so nice. And Schecter for making such an awesome thin neck E/A with tonal range beyond my ability. My friends all think its a high end PRS or custom built something. When I tell them its Schecter, they look like deer in headlights! All of a sudden they are looking at Schecter and hopefully through Sweetwater! BTW-check the pics for the right finish. The Cats Eye was a bit more pronounced on mine than I thought I was getting, which made for a better look imho. But the pics let you know whats out there....

I love this guitar finish is beautiful pick ups are great and the neck is comfortable. I only wish it had a belly cut

Beautiful guitar but....

Let me start by saying I've been playing guitar for 33 years and I've owned a lot of different ones over the years. Les Paul, Fender Strat, Ibanez RG and S series, Washburn, Line 6 JTV 89, and 3 Schecters...C1 plus, C1 Classic, and now the new C1 E/A. Let me start by saying the acoustic tones in this are GREAT!!!! They rival that of my old Takamine acoustic and the modeled tones of the James Tyler Variax. That's about where the excitement ends for me. The magnetic pick ups in this are very bass heavy and muddy to my ears. I was thinking about switching out the pickups eventually but that's going to push this guitar to well over $1,000 when it's all said and done. I wanted to return it but I wanted to love it...so I think I'm past my 30 days. I might keep it...I might sell it and buy something different. Since it's only about 45 days in I'd like to send it back to Sweetwater.
