Premium tonewoods deliver rich, full tone

You'll revel in the rich, full tone produced by this Cordoba C12 Limited's premium tonewoods. Solid Madagascar rosewood sides and back with a flame-maple center wedge set a powerful tonal foundation for the solid Canadian cedar top, giving you the perfect balance of warmth and brightness. A solid mahogany neck and rosewood bridge conspire to transfer maximum string energy to the top, while an ebony fingerboard gives you buttery playability.

Tradition and innovation produce a superior instrument

Cordoba designed the C12 Limited using modern design elements such as a lattice-braced top for enhanced projection and sensitivity, and a raised fingerboard that gives you effortless playability in the upper registers. Cordoba's tradition of innovation and meticulous attention to detail make their classical guitars crown jewels among the many fine nylon-stringed instruments in Sweetwater's Guitar Gallery.

Vintage elegance to be cherished for generations

The handmade Cordoba C12 Limited classical guitar is sight to behold, giving you the vintage elegance of a hand-inlaid mother-of-pearl rosette inspired by a 1920s Domingo Esteso design, as well as a beautiful flamed maple wedge on its solid Madagascar rosewood back. With its mellifluous tone, easy playability, and elegant visuals, this is an instrument to be played and cherished for generations.

Sweet Sound/Resounding Resonance

I received the guitar in perfect condition and on schedule. Zach Neels, my sales engineer, kept me at the top of the waiting list, and so I received one of the first guitars in the initial batch shipped to Sweetwater. Yes, the C12 Limited has Madagascar rosewood back and sides. I've played both the standard C12 and now the new C12 Limited. Both have great presence because of the lattice bracing, yet whereas the standard has more of a treble bias over the bass, the C12 Limited is more balanced. The major contrast between the two guitars however is in the lush tonality produced by the Limited's combo of Madagascar rosewood and Canadian cedar, allowing for a more dynamic tapestry of resonant tone and volume. Also there is a delightfully surprising brightness not usually associated with a cedar top (a characteristic no doubt aided by the lattice bracing). The price point I can't complain about, since I now have an extremely musical instrument that compares with the four to five thousand dollar ones; and the guitar should increase monetarily in value as Madagascar rosewood becomes rarer and rarer, its trees nearing extinction (following the fate, sadly, of Brazilian rosewood trees).Final word: gotta love this machine -- its looks, its ease of playing, its sweetly textured rainbow of sound.
