Great Little Guitar

I was traversing the wasteland known as the internet when I came across an advertisement for a $70 guitar. I thought, "$70? It must be a piece of trash." But I clicked on the ad and was taken to the wonderful world of sweetwater where they were having a sale of this little squier bullet. I thought, "$70, and free shipping... I can't pass that up!" So I bought it and I can't tell you how good of a deal that was! This thing may not sound as good as my friend's modified stratocaster ($1400), but it sounds pretty close. It has more of a high twangy sound to it, but when I am playing with the band you can't tell the difference between the two. I haven't tried out any of the other $99 cheap guitars, but if you like fender guitars, buy this one.

Great for the price

You get what you pay for. Great guitar for the price! If you want a real strat, just replace the tuning locks. This thing goes out of tune often, but is a great "first guitar" for learning or as a backup instrument. Sound is awesome!

like a typical Strat

i tried this out today as i got my new fender mustang 1 amp. it cranks out a nice tone, but the single-coil sounds aren't right for me-but that's just my opinion. very well built, very comfy neck. i own this in hh, and if you want that you'll have to get it somewhere else, which i recommend more. but anyway, overall this is a great guitar

good little guitar

For the money, this guitar is deal. I just wish the pick ups where better, but overall its not that bad. When you first get it I recommend you replace the strings, that will give it a better tone more like a strat. Of course My next guitar will be a Epiphone Les Paul from Sweetwater they have the best service, best prices and super fast shipping. If you get a guitar get it from Sweetwater.

Decent First Guitar

This was a decent starting point for a first guitar, but after finding out the quality of the rest of the guitar market it quickly left me longing for more. Lowering the action greatly improved the feel of the guitar. The output jack was a bit cheap and needed to be replaced after two months. It withstood a couple of gigs and quite a number of drops, so the overall construction was worth the price. It was later given to a friend as a gift when I upgraded to another electric. I cannot say that I would buy it again, but if you are strapped for cash and without a guitar, you may be able find inexpensive and temporary joy from buying one of these.
