Finally got it...

...and I love it!Everything about the unit:Feels great, sounds great.ONLY cons:Not having some kinda texture on the knobs is an interesting choice as is having only one stereo out.For $, it is a multitimbral, deep synthesis, high build quality force that will be a fine addition to anyone's arsenal. It certainly is in mine!

Endless capabilities!

I'm an analog guy, but I wanted a great digital synth to create some of the sounds that I can't get with my analog synths. I'm glad I chose this module, because I realize now that not only can I make all of the digital sounds I wanted to blend with my analog synths, but I could spend months just learning how to utilize every function on this synth. There's 68 different waveforms, a ring mod, multiple LFOs and a complex matrix for routing additional mods. It's really something you can spend a lot of time with, and still have options.

I love this tiny miracle in a box!

This synth was made a long time ago, yet it is so powerful it still lives immortal in modern times...I have decided to try out the editor from Rekon Audio and after some extensive head scratching which was my fault for not reading the manual, I finally got it all put together and working on Windows 10 laptop. The editor is also an librarian and can even save individual patches and individual banks. I think the editor is a must have even though a few years old. The Blofeld has some nice visual features and I find it amazing, that it was done correctly so many years ago! Waldorf knows their game...Overall the synth makes amazing lush pads and gritty baselines and everything else in between. It even works in a multi-mode and that took me by surprise that 16 tracks of audio can play simultaneously from this miracle box! Imagine the possibilities of sequencing or stacking those tracks for a bigger sound! I love this thing and for the price, good luck finding something this cool...I've spent thousands more on a workstation and this little module is a fraction of that! Check one out...You won't regret it!

Great sounds

No need for the full sized keyboard. Just use midi and plug into any other synth. Sound banks are superb. Great for all styles of electronic music ambient, techno, new wave, space music or top 40 crap. Create your own edited sounds and enjoy. Very user friendly. Must have for the price.

Superb sound patches

This Synthesizer has the most amazing sound patches ever. Everything from piano to ambient. Look no further if you want a all around great synth. Don't need to buy the full sized Synth, just plug in to any other synth using midi cables or USB. Don't worry it you can edit all the sounds to your personal needs and same them. I own a Moroder Mini Nova, Yamaha MX49 and Roland Juno GI and by far this Blofeld Blows them away when it comes to sounds. Lots of potential. l
