Granddaughter Loves It!

. I previously purchased one for my grandson and liked it so much, I purchased one for my granddaughter. I was surprised at how good the intonation was, as was the first one. They both play nice and for a small guitar the sound is very good. With the built in tuner, electronics and the fact that it is very well built ,it's a winner. The sound might not be that of a $2500 Taylor, but then again it cost me $429. I have other grandchildren and if they want to play, I will be purchasing another. Also, I wanted to personally thank Mark Magdich. Mark has been my salesman for over 10 years. He has always gone out of his way to help me with purchases. He is extremely knowledgeable, personable and trustworthy. I consider Mark as part of my family, even though I have never met him. I'm not one to sit down and write reviews, but this one for Mark is way overdue. Thank you Mark!

Sounds great and fits the bill!

This was just the instrument I needed for traveling to & from Europe, performing for a family wedding, but it blew the host and the audience away in a plugged in setting in downtown San Francisco right after I returned. No one expected the power and tone to be so rich and nuanced! No I can't wait to use it for my little kids music classes for Music Together!

Amazing-as usual

On a whim, I ordered this to add to my collection. Haven't had a smaller guitar in years. Arrived on time in perfect condition. Well packaged and set-up from the start. Easily fine- tuned with the onboard ES-B electronic preamp, it now sits uncased next to my desk for instant gratification when the mood hits. (You know what I'm talking about). The smaller size and fret width take some getting used to, but all in all, it's a dynamic and well designed instrument, perfect for spontaneous creation and finger picking. I must add that after several dozen purchases from Sweetwater, I have never brought up my sales engineer in a review, but I have to say that Aaron is one of the best I have ever encountered. Just the overall customer service here is phenomenal and complete. I have never been more satisfied with any other on-line company than right here at Sweetwater. They have taken all the guess work and apprehension out of ordering on-line. Thanks a bunch guys.

Baby Taylor dreadnought

I wanted a smaller, parlor size guitar, as my full size Breedlove dreadnought made my back and shoulders hurt after playing. The baby Taylor is very well built, and well appointed: solid construction, good tuners, good electronics, good action; but after having "played it in" for some months, I find that I just don't like it. I don't like the acoustic tone or the way it plays. It sounds harsh, uninspiring, and soulless to me, and feels rather awkward to play. It's not a bad guitar, but for me, I feel like I wasted $. Maybe I'm just spoiled by the Breedlove, but I just can't get into the Baby Taylor.
