A classy 28" scale masterpiece without totally killing your wallet.
I'll start out by stating that I rarely spend this kind of money on a guitar. I am in the $400-$700 range and am usually satisfied. Let me tell you, this guitar blows me away with the build quality, features, and of course the playability.
I have played both the Skull inlay version as well as my dot inlay version, and they are both exactly the same, minus the inlays.
Schecter got it right with the satin finish, binding, neck-through construction, volute, and those INLAYS. I have the first of its kind that I have seen anywhere on the web (believe me, I've searched and searched).
The locking tuners are flawless. The Hipshot bridge is a sexy addition. Even the Duncan Blackouts are very nice, emulating a passive pup so well that you may be fooled, though there is a touch of gain to them (IMO). Knobs and selector switch are well placed, though I bump the bridge pup volume control from time to time, can't hold that against Schecter because it is due to my playing style.
Overall, this is a 4.5 star guitar because nothing is perfect, though it is quite close for the price. :)
