Bias FX

This is an awesome plugin allowing me to record guitar the way I want it to sound in my recordings without having to run thru my amp . You can get any sound you wish to create with this and it also has a stand alone version for those of you wanting to take it on the road

great value

Overall great value if used with a decent USB interface. The amp and effect tones are very accurate. There isn't a whole lot to choose from, but if you're just using it for demos there is more than enough to get you started. My only gripe is that it can be a pain to work with if you're computer illiterate like I am.

Effects are good

All in all, the effects are good. The non pro package is basic and would imagine you need to buy the pro to get all of the benefits from the presets sitting in the cloud. The effects are some of the best Ive used so far and works well in Presonus Studio Pro. Im not a guitar plug-in person generally and prefer pedals and racks etc for my sound, but using plugins is pretty easy in the studio and I imagine on stage too. It is worth the money to try the non-pro version to see if you like it or not, they do have a price break on upgrading to the pro version.

Black Friday Deal still not worth it !

Give you just enough to tease you and then expect us to shell out More Money..... Another review of this product NAILED IN RIGHT ON THE HEAD........This is what another customer had to say and I agree 100% Be forewarned that the non-Pro version of BIAS FX includes Adware for the Pro version. There are a selected set of preset rigs in the drop down menu that will not load because you don't have the Pro version and suggests you should upgrade. I can understand this for the demo version but not when you have a valid license. With a valid license all product restrictions should be removed including any rigs that are not designed for the product you have. When I raised this issue with Positive Grid support they replied they will update the warning when downloading the product. What!? A warning when buying a product? I don't think Positive Grid understands the customer.

Was expecting more

Wasn't really going to write a review but Sweetwater wanted my opinion. As always, they are fantastic. But sometimes the products they have for sale are not. Thus the case for Positive Grid BIAS FX Modeling Plug-in. Had problems from the get go, as far as getting the license to activate product. That was a pain, but finally got it to work. Shouldn't have to be that hard to activate a product I pay for! Next biggest problem is it takes a long time to load! I'd say about a minute on average. Sometimes it won't load at all. have to remove FX and then re-ad it on my DAW. Then is you want to add an component it takes a while for it to show up so you are waiting again. As far as the sound go's its alright. But not really what I expected. No blown away factor here. What I hate most of All about this software is the layout sucks. Not like in the pics you see. Also you can't control the parameters with your mouse wheel like I can of some of the free-ware I use. You have to click on it and drag with your mouse. This is not acceptable. Ya, there is just no way I am ever going to pay for the pro version if this product. This is a serious disappointment. And to all you pro guys saying great things about this product. Shame on you! You guys are all sell outs!
