    Awesome American Made Bass

Killer Humbuckers & Single Coil Jazz Bass in one! The bridge is the nicest, most rugged one I've ever seen on a Bass in this price range. American Made, beautiful satin finish. Sounds incredible.

    Unbeatable Price

Bought the last of the Natural Finish 4 string at 699.00!! This is a great bass for that kind of price. USA made, nicely finished, unbelievable case. The neck is a nice fast satin finish, light and well balanced. Some folks have commented on the finish but I find it nice. It's not a thick, high gloss like a Fender but well done At 1500.00 I'd consider something else but at 699.00 it's a real deal. You can't buy an Asian bass for that much less a USA Gibson. I own 5 other American Made Basses and this is a high quality, great sounding, well made bass

    Great Bass

Just Got this Bass after thinking on it for awhile. Have to say I really like it. The only negative I have right off the bat is the finish, some are going to like it others are not. Its not really gloss like you might think on a Fender bass, it is a Satin like finish thats kind of shiny whisch does not fill in the wood grain, having said that to me it looks killer, much better than the pics. The feel is great really balanced, fast feeling neck, feels slightly wider than a Ibanez SR but Narrower than a P bass, no neck dive. The sound is great I played around with the coil splitting and the balance between the pickups, have to say you can dial in really soft lows to a powerful growl like a MM. I received it perfectly setup and IN TUNE out of the box, couldn't be happier.

Gigging musician (small to large clubs, recording, some pit playing)

Great in the mix, Comfy, and Flexible.

All factors obviously need to be taken into consideration (cab, amp, room, board, et al), but I've had this bass for about a month and I'm still trying to dial-in it's ace sound to record. Having said that, half the fun is that there are a lot of useable tones to choose from. I've found this bass to shine the most in a live situation. The bottom doesn't feel as fat as I like, but I found a spot that cuts through (and sits-in) the mix beautifully. Balance, weight (light!), etc. is all great. Satin finish is a little thin, and I don't know how long it will last, but to each his own, right? I like the Mosrite/offset/SG funky body style--it's comfy slung high and low, and the neck is speedy and easy to adjust. And the price is SWEET. One star off for poor fret finishing--my left hand was hamburger-come on, Gibson! That, and the case feels huge and sort of sloppily put together. But all in all, a really useable bass--I will definitely gig it (in my bag, though--that case is pretty janky).
