    Great bass

I bought one of these as a 2013 closeout and I'm very happy with it. I should explain here that I was looking for a replacement for my Ibanez SR-600, a nice bass but I wasn't real happy with the active circuitry. There are tons of passive basses out there so choosing wasn't easy. I should point out that I'm biased toward Gibbys They're USA made and I own a Gibson acoustic which I also love. The tones I can get with the split coils are just exactly what I was looking for, nice and warm. I've been playing with the pickups set at 2 singles and varying the tone. Fit and finish is spot on an the set neck and Babicz bridge are icing on the cake. You NEED a 90 degree angle plug on your output because these are like a P bass. The jack comes straight out of the pick guard and it gets in the way if you're running a straight 1/4" plug. As always Sweetwater was the best and the bass was here in two days. I lucked out and got a sweet deal on the closeout but the 2014 model is the exact same bass with a little 120th anniversary inlay on the fretboard. Nice bass, nice case, good price. Buy it
