I was in a band that used EV powered speakers and they sounded GREAT, so I decided if I ever put my own PA together that was pretty much what I was going to get. In the mean time I found myself in another band that used Behringer. His were a lot lower in watts and not quite as roomy as the EV's but very effective and clear sounding. When I finally had the means to put my own PA together I did a lot of reading, researched all the brands, got opinions, compared, etc. After much fretting and head scratching I decided to go with Behringer. I pulled the trigger on two of these B815 NEO's and a couple B1800HP subwoofers and I'm here to tell you, they sound AWESOME! I honestly think they sound better than the EV's! Very clear, powerful and balanced. I only have one thing I wasn't crazy about. They only have three feet that they stand on, so if you don't use speaker stands, they're a little bit wonky when you set them on a flat surface, such as another speaker. Definitely not a deal breaker and definitely not a problem for me.
This, by the way, was my first time dealing with Sweetwater. I originally ordered my speakers from a competitor whom I had used in the past. Pricing was identical, but let's just say that when it came to shipping, they were not your "friend". These guys (Sweetwater) call you during and after your order and check on you. EXCELLENT customer service. (If you order something and get a call from Fort Wayne IN, answer it)
